You mean like a jeb door?
Well that just made my project awesome.
redstone motherblock
9 blocks of redstone to make it, like iron or gold to make an iron/gold block?
9 blocks of redstone to make it, like iron or gold to make an iron/gold block?
Maybe with smoothstone or iron bar in the middle.
I'm considering renting a server so I can host a MC server. I have a few questions, whats the best online service(cheapest, fastest) the best way to set up donations(i'm not rich) and the best mods to get? and If I was to do this would there be enough interest from Facepunch for me to order a more high powered server so you all could play?
Maybe with smoothstone or iron bar in the middle.
Make it like the TNT formula, with iron/gold in place of the sand.
They could just rewrite the entire block coding so that it would be possible to do that, and therefore be possible to put a different slab on top of another. But they would also have to rewrite redstone code. Far too complicated for them.
Or just add a new damage value for the doubleslab block for halfslab/redstone combo. Of course people would start to bitch about how they aren't doing that for different slab combinations, or a new slab type or whatever else they can think of.
random seed for you guys i don't like island spawns, you guys do (for some reason) southwest is HUGE mountains then a snow biome, east is swamp then directly south of that are plains island kinda looks like a flipped japan... kinda.. ALSO simple gate design for simple forts/castles/settlements it's kept creepers/zombies/spiders/spoky skeltons out so far, why fix what isn't broken?
9 blocks of redstone to make it, like iron or gold to make an iron/gold block?
If it were based on a motherboard, maybe roughly diamond, iron (generic metal), redstone and maybe a new silicon ore to create the transistors and shit?
Redstone already uses up the full metadata, no room for specifying slab type.
Act like a repeater, then? Having it on/off only? That would actually be a clever way to implement a repeater that has no delay at all.
Lovely What I actually like to see is complicated food. The basic food we have now (bread, cooked meat etc) would restore less food (say 2 for the porckchops), and the complicated foods (cake, the pumpkin pie and maybe morel like a sandwich) would restore about twice as much food bars, depending on how complicated they are.
Steak fills me up more than a slice of cake or a cookie, tbqh.
What are artifacts and why did I just find a shitton in Technic? I found a dungeon and in the two chests were a few floppy disks (I think they were called FORTH boots disks) and a ton of artifacts and other normal dungeon loot. The artifacts were a ton of common, almost as much uncommon and a few rares. [editline]12th September 2012[/editline] Also I found a weird obelisk thing. It was about 4 blocks high and floating about 2 blocks off the ground, and beneath it was a cross of weird, end-portalish looking blocks. What is that?
Nice, thanks.

I think things should have the same amount of hunger restoration as they do now, but the saturation should be higher for more complicated foods. Like, much higher. Similar to how apples have a very low saturation and how bread has a high saturation. [editline]12th September 2012[/editline] Or, like I've suggested several times, the more you eat the same food, the more the saturation goes down each time. So living off bread will continually require more and more bread to keep you full.

Hey guys, I'm going to be setting up a tekkit server in the next few days for a few friends, maybe 5-6 on at most at a time? Two questions: Which host? (I'm thinking LethalDrive, assuming JWJ is still running it awesomely) and How much RAM? (5-6 online at a time, at the very most.)
elpis is the best host imo
Well, you could make it controlled by a single lever quite easily. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/2012-09-13_12.25_.01_.png[/t]
Never thought of using torches to share the current.
go with elpis and don't look back for 5-6 (tops) you can go with 1gb ram
I went 10+ with 1gb of ram elpis of course

Woah Superflat can be cool now
So the format of the presets seem to be this
1;heightxblockid,blockid;biomeid
So you don't have to specify the height of the specific blocks as it defaults to 1 Biome ids taken from the wiki [editline]13th September 2012[/editline] No idea what the first "1" is for.
Though it would be cool to get a new "block" type for the world generation being a randomized chance of ore spawning per few stone blocks. Also why can't I add new layers.
NYI = Not Yet Implemented You have to click presets and type it in manually at the top.
12w37a is out.
Dammit, and I just downloaded last week's snapshot.
So in about 6 hours of playing the Technic Pack, I did the following: Built a house. Made a bed. Mined for 4 hours straight, acquiring several chests worth of loot including 8 diamonds, 3 tungsten and about 12 uranium. Set up an automatic macerating > smelting system. Made an energy condenser using 7 of the 8 diamonds, then acquired 12 more diamonds by converting all of my useless shit with the condenser And then I made a quarry with my new found wealth. So I basically started the downfall of the environment, in one night. And I still have plenty of resources to make another quarry, especially since I'm going to get a lot of useless stuff from my first quarry. By the way, is there a way to set it up so I can keep all un-macerated ore in the same chest going to the same macerator, without it popping out when theres another ore being smelted? Just seems like with all the work that's been put into this collaboration that it would've been thought of and implemented.
