This is probably late but i didn't realize bats actually hang upsidedown on the ceilings, i was hoping they would.

Testificates aren't happy about me flooding there homes with bats either.
I'm pleasantly surprised, the bats move far more dynamically than I expected, and they add so much to the atmosphere. Now there needs to be regular birds that tweet, I'd love that.
Also, you guys should note that Dinnerbone and Jens aren't artists. Their models and textures may look lackluster and bad because of it. I'd really appreciate them getting a graphic artist to this kind of stuff for them.
Sorry if late with his remark but I don't usually post: it is completely possible for them to make a new witch model later to represent a testificates change into a true witch.
I made a skylight/ceiling.
But for what, good sir?
So, do we have any word on the modding API? Some popular mods stopped development when 1.3 came out; and I think it'd serve the longevity of this game if they get that out there sooner so we don't loose more and more mods every update.
They're working on redoing the backend of Minecraft, including the rendering engine before they start adding the Mod API. Implementing a Mod API into the current codebase was a nightmare for both Mojang and modders.
When they want to change something about the world generator, generation of new chunks would have fucked up biomes. Stuff like that needs fixing first before they dive into the Mod API.
The new bats are awesome and all, but I kinda want them to be an enemy. Maybe a black version that is hostile.
We don't have a flying melee enemy in minecraft so that would be pretty cool.
Yes! Finally walking in grass doesn't sound like walking in glass.
These sounds are going to take some getting used to though.
The cow hit puberty.

Man, we've got bats and witches now, and a host of all kinds of features.
And I still can't even play the game on my computer.

Get a better computer, rendering engine rewrite that's being worked on will take a while.

I know, I just found the analogy interesting, even if not strictly true. According to Dinnerbone not even endermen actually have a gender.
Why would they?

Part 1 of 4 of my High Voltage Solar Array Factory. It makes solar panels (click to enlarge pics)

My main things that make things

Left: My geothermal generators that make energy for the factory (soon to be turned into High Voltage Arrays)
Took about 1 hour and a 20 minutes to make all this (having all the materials at the start)
It makes 1 solar panel each second.
Tomorrow hopefully it'll be complete, as combining solar panels, making transformers isn't as tedious as doing all that stuff for the solar panel itself.
Also made it in a fully legit world (aka not cheating)

Firemen can be female, and still referred to as "firemen". You don't call them "firewomen" :v:
I doubt enderman is a job title.

Human?
I dunno about what could alter the world generation, though maybe more kinds of weather would be interesting, perhaps even have wind. Actually, more "structures" and different kinds of vegetation would help; different geological features would also work. An actual massive mountain or a moving glacier or even the ruins of a crumbling human city could help spice up the trail mix. Also, in my opinion, sand and snow should probably flow sort of like a liquid whilst retaining its tendency to fall; maybe make it like how Finite Water used to work only it would be able to form actual piles of Sand or Snow. It'd make deserts and snowy biomes more organic; in that regard they should be somewhat affected by strong wind, with snowstorms and sandstorms being capable of changing the landscape.
For weather, I've always wanted a dynamic cloud system. Imagine if clouds could be randomly generated. Maybe they could have different speeds and directions for wind simulation. It would be cool tending your house and seeing in the distance dark storm clouds rolling in, maybe with distant lightning and thunder.
For world generation, according to the wiki at least, the max height blocks spawn at is 119, and this has remained unchanged since the max world height was doubled. I wish they could just keep sea level the same, but make the max mountain height something like 206 or something. This way mountains could feel much grander, yet you still have 50 vertical blocks with which to build in. Hell, maybe it can even be a max height of 226, with a breathing room of 30 (Plenty for a mansion or a small castle,) and those who wish to build massive skyscrapers could stick to plains.

Neither is mankind, yet we all know that the term mankind applies to all genders.
Does anyone else have that problem where your skin is replaced by some bozo's?

"Man" is gender neutral, just most commonly used to refer to males.
Does anyone else have that problem where your skin is replaced by some bozo's?
I do, but my skin usually winds up being replaced with this bozo:
[t]http://media-mcw.cursecdn.com/e/ed/Mob1.png[/t]
(In all seriousness maybe your texture pack replaces the "offline" mode skin, which sometimes loads instead of your normal skin when you go through the nether and other random occurances..)
Tried the snapshot finally. I love all these new sounds. I hope Mojang adds birds, rats, butterflies, frogs, or other things. I don't want a billion of them running around like mo'creatures does, but seeing a small animal scurrying around every once in a while would be nice.
Rats would be pretty awesome.

great job Jeb 10/10 would update again
Dinnerbone made the witch.
Get a better computer, rendering engine rewrite that's being worked on will take a while.
Better computer? That's not the problem. I was playing it fine for years before that.
Rats would be pretty awesome.
I would like to see cave trolls. And have them only spawn at a certain depth on the map so you would never see them above ground. No idea what they'd look like or do, though.
