Thank you. Should i make a video? [Skull NBT Thing] I think it might help a few people out.
It's pretty easy to figure NBTedit out, and there are already plenty of videos.

Eh, true. But not for the "SkullOwner" Tag. Plus it would stop people like me from asking about it.

Making a oil-platform with a friend of mine, it looks kind of shit right now, but it's functional!

Really?! Why couldnt we use Head blocks!?
F2 takes screenshots guys
USE THAT
F2 takes screenshots guys

I use Fraps to take a screenshot that gets dropped directly in my Dropbox folder, get on my level.
Or just use puush and upload them as soon as you take them.
I'm trying to build an SCP-based world in Minecraft. What are some SCP's that could easily be built/replicated in Minecraft. Any other ideas?

I think this might interest you. Multiple Foundation sites, a ton of SCPs, with a "staff" to boot.

Isn't that server down all the time?
Eh, true. But not for the "SkullOwner" Tag. Plus it would stop people like me from asking about it.
Do all people like you send ten PMs asking the same basic question?
Kill me now.

I'm really sorry about that, it wouldnt put my responses through for some reason.
But I'll have to go to an upload-site, browse all the way to appdata, and wait for it to upload.
Now I just press Ctrl+Shift+2 and I got it all done automatically.
Isn't that server down all the time?
Only because there's never enough demand to pester the admins for it to be up non-stop.
F2 always results in shitty quality screenshots though
This is not how printscreen works.
I take screenshots with puush because I cba to upload them manually.
So zombies hit doors and leave a cracked overlay depending on the amount of "health" left on the door in the new snapshot. [t]http://i.imgur.com/GOvIi.png[/t]

It would be cool if certain things could happen coinciding with the Lunar calendar in Minecraft. For example, what if Endermen could only come out on new moons?

Endermen are already rare enough and Ender Pearls already take two or three kills to drop. Don't need them to become even more rare.
Make them much more frequent on new moons.

One of the things I like about Minecraft is how "ritualistic" the magic seems to be. Building a nether portal requires you build an obsidian frame in a specific pattern and require you light the insides on fire. The portal to the End requires creating rare ingredients and tracking down a rare portal so you can fit them in. I would like to see more stuff like that, it really adds to the "mystique" of Minecraft. Something involving the lunar cycle would add a lot to the feel, I think.
Well that's what sieges were supposed to come from, "Blood Moons" or something like that, right? The moon was supposed to turn red and the zombies were supposed to siege your home. But I think Notch (or Jeb? Don't remember who was in charge at the time) implemented them in a different way than we expected.

You getting confused with Terraria?
No, I don't even have Terraria haha, I could have sworn I read some minecraftwiki page saying something like that was what was planned for sieges
[editline]23rd September 2012[/editline]
I think, haha
You getting confused with Terraria?
Nope. The mans right. However Notch stated it all the way back before the first survival test, when a whole buncha ideas were being thrown around.
You getting confused with Terraria?
The Terraria guys actually took a lot of inspiration from ideas Notch talked about but never implemented.
I made this thread over at the Minecraft forums, please take a look at it. It's about a suggestion for taller mountains.

It could just use a new max height of 512 and raise the sea level to the 256 with the addition of sea creatures and primitive submarines of some sort.
Woah, hold your horses. I like the idea but it may be overload.
Overload, yeah. But then the problem comes with doubling the height again and raising the sea level to 256: the RAM.
It could just use a new max height of 512 and raise the sea level to the 256 with the addition of sea creatures and primitive submarines of some sort.
Woah, hold your horses. I like the idea but it may be overload.
I don't think it really needs to be 512, we can't even render half that distance on screen. I think these small changes are more than enough.

I think the sea depth is deep enough but mountains definitely could be taller.
