Does anyone want to host a small survival server? I really want to play on a small one, bonus points if it just started so all the resources aren't ripped. I can AT LEAST play for five hours from now. It'd be awesome.

Hey guys a friend of mine is going to be buying Minecraft soon and wants me to set up a server we can play on together. I haven't used craftbukkit in quite some time and it seems all the plug-ins I used to use are now inactive. Can anyone recommend me some must have plug-ins?
For a private server there aren't any must-have plugins IMO.
My cousin's birthday is tomorrow so I thought since she's been playing on my account I'd buy her Minecraft. I can't wait to see how happy she is.

Yes, this. I found TerrainControl, but it isn't exactly what I was looking for. Something like I mentioned in my post would be great. I could gen a map and then load it up on the up to date server

That's probably going to cause lots of strange things, I tried tis in single player and it started snowing and all the water froze.
