negative lightlevels?
negative lightlevels?
The ground starts glowing?
I wonder if 'running' isn't implemented yet, and will be bursts of sprinting from the new, slower speed.
I'd like an event where mobs can spawn at light level 10 and they can spawn close than the 21 block limit, or something. It would happened once every minecraft month.
You know your tree farm might be a little extensive when it takes 2 in game days to harvest 3/4ths of it and multiple iron axes.
One time my tree farm took a diamond axe each way around
I only used it once
How do we make successful pumpkin/watermelon farm?
How do we make successful pumpkin/watermelon farm?
just plant a pumpkin seed on some tilled ground near some water ( withing 2-4 blocks but on the same vertical axis) and wait (same for watermelon)

Bad dog.
anyone know how to fix minecraft freezing up after you play for a bit, it's really annoying.
If you have a 64bit os, you may be running 32bit java

The two designs towards the top are the best and work for both melon and pumpkin farming.
Anyone seen this?

Sorry, I can't see past the bloom and grain, but if you mean the waterfall, that happens quite often.

That's not bloom and grain.
It's colour correction and rain.
I think zombies should try to break down doors.
Hell no. With the new path finding, that would make it impossible to make nice homes. Doors are easy to make, alternative means take harder to find resources. All your houses would have to be built without wooden doors and instead using stone blocks or something when you start out your game, it would be fuck ugly, you could not look out through the door to see if the coast is clear, and it would be a lot more inconvenient to open and close.
If this is added, I'll stop playing. Because I'm already bothered a lot by how very dangerous enemies are during the night and when I go exploring caves, so if these fuckers are going to be letting creepers into my home when I've actually managed to build a proper shelter then this game is not going to be very fun anymore.
I think you're playing the wrong gamemode. Try creative or peaceful mode.
I enjoy Minecraft survival with the definition of survival being about the same as being stranded on a deserted island. I do want a challenge, I like to gather resources to create a safe haven against the dangerous surrounding, I like having to gather things to ensure my survival, I like gathering things to improve my home or for general luxury, and I like that there's always a risk involved in this. The current difficulty level is fine for how I like to play Minecraft.
I do not enjoy Minecraft survival with the definition being "barricade yourself and fight off hordes of zombies until you die".
If I would want to play something like that, I'd play Project Zomboid.
The more time you spend gathering resources, the better protection you can provide yourself with.
I believe it's ok for zombies to be able to open wooden doors, but once you make iron ones, you'll be safe.
Or, enemies should get smarter with every night, and only after about 5 nights they should be able to open.
I'm actually not sure what Mojang could add to Minecraft to make it more challenging without just making it more annoying. Zombies being able to bust open doors? That'd be annoying as hell.

Hoards of zombies? I see at most one or two at night, unless I start travelling. And if you don't want the night time, try killing a sheep or two and make a bed... or just install some mods.
Zombies knocking down your door isn't going to change anything, just go to bed, put some blocks in front of the door, or just kill them. Even on hard a few zombies is easy to defend against, even with crap starting weapons. And if they prevent you from sleeping, make a large house, so no mobs can get close enough to your bed to block sleep, even if they are at the door.

Blood moons?
Insane difficulty where you can bleed out if you get hit?

With the new zombie AI, zombies will have an easier time tracking you down.
I'm fine with zombies being smarter and being able to find inventive routes to get to you, but combine that with being able to open doors and you have a real nuisance. I don't want to always have to place stone blocks in front of my door at night, because it's fuck ugly and inconvenient when I want to get in and out. I also don't want only iron doors to be safe, because iron is harder to come by, they sometimes look fuck ugly, and it's more inconvenient than normal doors in terms of opening mechanics.
No, I don't want zombies to be able to open doors. I don't want to download mods to prevent them from opening doors, not only because I'm never the host of any servers and I don't play single player. Also because I feel that if you're the kind of person that would allow such an extremely frustrating feature because you enjoy making the game harder, then you're the one who should be modding your Minecraft since I'm perfectly fine with the difficulty in Minecraft as it is now.
[editline]4th February 2012[/editline]
Not to mention the idea that I can just use a bed, is not possible when you usually play on a server where you're rarely alone and nobody else ever use their bed.
I still like the idea someone else came up with, the more zombies the smarter they are in a group.
I wouldn't mind them sticking together in groups whenever they get close to eachother, and then acting like a hivemind.
Similarly, attacking one of them will attract every one of them in the nearby area.
There are plenty of ways to make your base mob proof, such as underwater entrances.
I don't think having zombies break down wooden doors every full moon or so would be that big of a deal.

It's all fun and games untill a herd of 50 gather up on the roof of your house and fall down on top of you as you leave.

Probably not anything super strange, but I found it interesting.
Interesting, but i'm more interested about what happend to their base.
