This is twice I've done something stupid and fallen into this ravine, only to be saved coincidentally. First, I placed a torch and the gravel I was on fell into a spider web (talk about lucky) before placing enough dirt to get back up.
The second time, I accidentally double-tapped D and fell off into a waterfall. Can't be pushing my luck like that.
And then at the bottom, while hiding from a skeleton, it shot a creeper and it exploded right next to my face, causing a whopping zero damage.
Reminds me of that time having to jump off a cliff like in those action movies to escape some monsters, only to hit the ground halfway, lose all but half a heart, and land into 1m deep water safely.

This part of it is done, but I'm still working on making the entrance to it (It will be hidden in another fortress on the overworld). Also, what if there's a great flood? Are there airlocks in the event of such a thing? You've got to account for every possible yet unlikely apocalypse there is, or it could potentially but most likely not be the end of human life as we know it!

Successfully created a new packet that networks changes in a player's max health! Woo! The first piece of actual progress for my mod!

Sadly, Minecraft isn't Dwarf Fortress, so elaborate fortresses aren't exactly necessary. Still, kudos for making one.
