Guys, I need some help.
On my monster spawner I realized that the stair windows for viewing were completely stopping spawns somehow ( The rooms appeared dark besides a little bit on light right next to the stairs ), so I blocked them off to see if they were the cause and they were. With the stairs up I got 0 drops (and looking into them, I didn't see any monsters) and after blocking them spawns started again. Is there any other way to do a none-glass window that doesn't let light in?
I found pretty nice seed for Minecraft [b]1.1[/b] with island (huge cave included)...

Will villagers spawn in villages generated in older versions of minecraft? We have two villages on our server which I think were generated before villagers were added, but they are still unpopulated. What's the deal?

The villagers will adopt the village but they won't spawn there.
