Joinging the server
[editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
IT DOESNT WORK :suicide:
Just lost my hardcore map because the game keeps crashing.
Fuck you, Jeb.
BOO YAH
Minecraft 1.2 fuck yeah!
Minecraft 1.2.2, and that one world still crashes the converting process.
The seed Silent Hunter III will spawn you in a massive jungle biome.
Ugh. No HD packs, no optifine, no unbelievable shaders. I think I'll wait this one out. Also, does anyone happen to know if there is any 256x256 or one step lower like photo mod or whatever it's called?
Does 1.2 make it lag for anyone else? It's stuttering a bit here.
Is there a tool around that lets you edit existing biome's that's still being updated.
As like, I went to 1.7.3 beta to get the gargamel seed area into 1.2, but the whole place is swampy and i'd like it to be something else.

Off the wiki, 1.2 Preview changes:
New sandstone like blocks:

That second block looks like a mummie face.
Maybe zombies in the desert will have a mummie skin?
*Snip*
Will mods still work or do the creators have to update them for 1.2?

Slabs and Stairs can be placed upside-down by placing them below a block.
Placing blocks on Grass will replace it.
Lava now has a faint rumbling sound effect, and large particles that hop out of the lava produce a popping sound.
Very rare Desert Wells can be found in Desert biomes.
F3 has some changes and additions:
lc:
b: Shows what biome you are in.
bl: Block brightness.
sl: Sky brightness.
rl: Raw brightness.
Due to popular demand, Seed info is "0" in SMP, to avoid people recreating the world in SSP
Many other minor tweaks and fixes.
Bug Fixes :
Doors have been updated so that double-doors work better with redstone
Ambience works in Multiplayer
Mob spawners show the correct mob in SMP (instead of a pig)
Bugs :
Big trees are very rare in Forest, birches, pines in Taiga, swamp trees in Swamps, giant mushrooms in Mushroom Biomes
99% of the big trees are replaced by small trees, so no big trees in biomes like Mountains that could generate rare big trees
Snow doesn't appear on maps
F3 takes more resources than before, making the game unplayable on old computers
The biome "FrozenRiver" and "DesertHills" does not have a space like other biomes (e.g. "Ice Mountains")
Mushrooms are generated above the bedrock in The Nether
1.2.2 Changes:
Bug Fixes :
"Uploaded Minecraft 1.2.2 because birches and pine trees were missing..."
Big trees, swamp trees and giant mushrooms generation fixed.
Snow appears on Maps again.
Bugs :
Mobs are not hurt by sunlight.
Block Light (bl thing) is 0 in the Nether on not lit blocks (should be something around 9)
Enchanted Tools and Armor have their labels glitched.
Mobs not being hurt by sunlight seems like kind of a big bug?
Why didn't they bother to fix that before release.

I like the new challenge. But maybe it's a feature now?
[editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
Wait, mobs are burning on my minecraft. Uhh, some of them. Some of them lived through the day and some burned. How the hell did they fuck this up?
I like the new challenge. But maybe it's a feature now?
[editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
Wait, mobs are burning on my minecraft.
If it was a feature why would it be listed as a bug?
Because they never said whether it's a bug or a feature?
Plus some are burning on mine and some aren't so I have no fucking clue.
Urgh, I can't log in.
Gosh darnit, just went through the hassle of upgrading my server and now it takes too long to log in.
Oh my, this update sounds awesome
Due to popular demand, Seed info is "0" in SMP, to avoid people recreating the world in SSP
:(
Jeb could've added a setting in the server config :v:
Whats so bad about getting to know a servers seed, it's not like the already built things come with it.

Due to popular demand, Seed info is "0" in SMP, to avoid people recreating the world in SSP
:(
Well popular demand is stupid. There's nothing wrong with playing a seed in single player. Change it back, jeb.
Popular Demand? I don't know a single person who asked for that at all!
