Oh god this is awful. Every time I load new chunks I get horrible, horrible lag.
And lights are broken. And mobs don't burn. Looks like Jeb's continuing Minecraft just like Notch did!

Are you playing a map generated before 1.2.2? I think there's the same issue as with the snapshots, worlds generated pre-anvil and converted work just fine. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I fixed my lag by turning fancy graphics off, it was so the tree leaves in the massive jungle biome I spawned in :v:

I miss the old gold.
My launcher freezes every time I update/install Minecraft. It starts downloading files then just stops and gets a error a minute or two later. It's really fucking annoying. Anyone know how to fix this?

Apparently clouds are suppose to cast faint shadows. Maybe that's what is causing the weird shadows?
