I wish leather armor was worth a damn. It breaks in like 2 seconds, there's just such a huge leap from it to iron. Add chainmail already god damn it. You could make chain like you make iron bars.
There really should be upsides and downsides to using different weapons and armors. For all of the time wasted on killing cows you may as well just go in to a cave unarmored and grab the iron from there.

I've found it's simply easier to find a cave and dive in looking for iron deposits. Especially when I spawn with no cows around. Ironically, when I first started playing, I found out about iron armor before leather armor.

I keep it for emergencies because Iron ain't infinite... unless your a hardcore miner. I prefer to take my time.

Had a double-chest half full of iron BLOCKS. Shit was crazy. Not a god-damn cow in sight though.
Ohgod why. The first time I saw an endermen in this world it was carrying a brown mushroom. Now, around 2 minecraft weeks later I find a new cave with some brown mushrooms in it. When I got closer I heard an endermen again :tinfoil: what is is trying to do :v: [editline]7th March 2012[/editline] oh god damnit
Whats that marker thing?
Whats that marker thing?
Zan's Minimap (or Rei's minimap or who-ever the fuck is making the popular one now) has a marker option, including a death point marker.
Whats that marker thing?
Should be Reis Minimap :ninja:
I need some help, I have the Sphax PureBDcraft 128x128 texture pack installed, the 1.2 version and I patched MC (you know because it has 128x textures), it was working ok until 1.1, but now I see the nether portal and fire textures on stone, why?
Here's a fortress design I made for that one thread that's now closed

Is it just me, or does the 1.2 update remind anyone of the halloween update, where mobs spawned in lighter places and shit got darker, and everyone freaked out and their bases got basically invaded by mobs? Everything is harder (And I like it)

I really wish we could place down slabs without already having one on the ground or connected to another block. It'd be good if you could place upside down sets of stairs too.
I really wish we could place down slabs without already having one on the ground or connected to another block.
I'd rather upside down slabs be placed when aiming at the top part of the block.
Any one use Rei's minimap mod? If so, any of you getting Error 16? I keep getting it on both my computers.
http://canihostaminecraftserver.com/
Haha, bullshit, it says I can't run a server on my laptop though I can host a server just fine, for me and 6 other players.

Why did I spawn so many villagers, I put 2 in the top of a building and they already populated the entire room. I can't imagine whats happening in the city.

If there's one thing that annoys me about minecraft, it's the way mobs only drop certain types of item. I mean, cows should drop beef, leather and bones every time, Sheep should drop wool, sheep meat (mutton or lamb depending on age I guess :v:) and bones, Chickens should drop feathers, chicken meat and bones, etc. Basically what I'm saying is that when you kill something, you should be able to pick up everything it's made of, every time.

They should make a rare head drop, like you cut off the animals head and you can equip it as a hat. It would be like the pumpkin but more funny.
Villagers should drop human meat. :v:
I want cowskin rugs.
Villagers should drop human meat. :v:
Only if you can hide it from being human meat. Entire servers will flock to vendors to get this new meat and one user will find out the horrible truth:
Reminds me of that creepy ass town in Fallout 3. UGHHG
So, uh. Why does the map on my server look like this: The areas with dots are explored, only the chunk that is loaded seems to be fully visible.
