In the terrain.png there's a few weird textures that are not used, supposedly for village outlines.

Whenever I have TMI and Optifine installed at the same time, my graphics fuck up, chunks often fail to display and it gets all laggy.
I'm sure that they're both updated to their latest versions and I installed them correctly.

It's just clay with acrylic paint, but given the prevalence of Minecraft cakes I can see why you would think this.

The Minecraft Coder Pack provides the entire source, decompiled and (partially) deobfuscated, so I'm sure if there was another recipe someone would know about it.
I have super bad lag issues after playing Minecraft about like 5-10 minutes and I can't seem to find a fix. I tried reinstalling Minecraft and Java even getting Java 7. I tried limiting and maxing RAM. I thought it might just be Multiplayer but does same thing in Singleplayer. Even on lowest graphic settings. Any ideas or is this just a known problem?

Try installing Optifine. It helps wonders on my computer.
I feel like the only person who gets little to no help from Optifine.
