Just took a look at part 1 of the new interview with Jeb, I'd love to be friends with villagers.
I really care about having a stable computer that I'm sure will work and will last. I don't want to have to worry about the parts I pick out not working with eachother in the long run.
Alienware computers are for people who don't want to put in the extra effort.
It's like buying a sandwich v.s. making a sandwich. It's always going to be cheaper to buy all the pieces and put it together yourself.
Got mine Pre-Built. Sort of. I picked every component that went into the case, fans and case included, It's over 2 years old now, hasn't had a single issue, and holds its own against anything I throw at it even today, and buying the same parts off Newegg and putting it together myself would've cost $50 more
Disagrees? Wat.
I was going to order off Newegg, then was told about CyberpowerPC and it ended up being cheaper to get it from them, especially since the shipping was free, and it's been perfect
I urge everyone to give CyberpowerPC a look over. It's actually quite good, and I didn't get any shitty refurbished parts either
Over 2 years ago, I got this AMD Quad Core 3.2ghz, HD5750, 4Gigs of RAM, Windows7, 750w PSU, 4 120mm Fans, CD and DvD Burner, ASUS Motherboard, Case, 320gig HD and all the proper software and CD Keys, for $816. I remember searching the exact same components on Newegg and it cost just under $900. And this same Rig now? Probably close to half that price. And I haven't had a single issue with this thing since I got it, not one. Not only that the wiring job inside is fucking immaculate. Certainly better than I could have done
Anyone have a good server to join? Ready to build shit, haven't used 1.2 yet.

You could pop into Profan's Server. IP's fellowsgame.net
Is there a minecraft client that has MP block spawning built-in? Having to look up block codes gets annoying.

If you're an op, do
/gamemode [PLAYERNAME] 1
That'll put you into creative.

And /gamemode [PLAYERNAME] 0 puts you back into survival
Is there a minecraft client that has MP block spawning built-in? Having to look up block codes gets annoying.
Too many items or Not enough items are two excellent mods for that.
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but I saw the 360's Minecraft GUI and I have to say, it looks quite nice. To be honest, even though it's designed for a controller, I wouldn't mind seeing a mod which did something like this for the PC GUI.
For those interested in seeing it,

Erghghg this needs to be official in the PC version. I'm goddamn serious. This is a wonderful GUI compared to the one we have now.
Oh god something have happened.
Used to have Water Shader Alpha+ Pure BDcraft 256x and highest lagfree (Full sellings and power option on Max FPS)
It was around 70-90. Now it's 10-40. It came after I installed optifine wich fucked my AA, with that I mean there were three edges on the side of a block and it just looked like shit. I've tried reinstalling the bin and mods, still doesn't work.
Any help?
Maybe Water Shader and Optifine are conflicting? I know my WaterShader adds decent antialiasing
Maybe Water Shader and Optifine are conflicting? I know my WaterShader adds decent antialiasing
Last I remember Water shader partially conflicted with optifine.
Is anyone else's shovels renamed to spades now? I suddenly noticed my Iron shovel was now an Iron spade, but when I asked others on the server, they said they still had shovels.

I'm playing 100% vanilla 1.2.3, by the way
That's either your localization or a mod.
Could someone post that one mod that takes advantage of the 256 map height.
Current sized maps are too lame, and I vaguely recall a mod like this existing.
That's either your localization or a mod.
I'm thinking it might be because I've set language to UK english. Either that, or another easter egg, like that Minceraft thing.
It's because of UK then. Default is some sort of thing in between UK and US
Just made a screenshot of my character with the shadersmod, although my minecraft laggs a bit when im playing with the normal shaders (HD 6870 and Phenom x4 955) so im playing with the Lite shaders now.
I think it should be a completely different option. Like "Toggle Mob Raids on/off". I dont want to play on hard mode, creepers magically appearing behind me gives me enough trouble as it is.
I think it'd fit pretty well in Hardcore mode.
Speaking of which, I think on hardcore mode stone tools should be made from Flint instead of stone, and you can only break blocks if you have the proper tool for it, unless it's something like leaves or tall grass. You can combine saplings to make sticks.
How well would the shaders run on an i5/560Ti combo with 8GB of RAM?
How well would the shaders run on an i5/560Ti combo with 8GB of RAM?
I'd assume that it wouldn't run bad, probably around 30 fps or even more.
Kind of irrelevant, but If anyone has yet to find the new biome put in the seed gimmeabiome and you'll spawn right inside of one.
I wish the grass was generally greener.

Is there a way to make a dispenser automatically dispense?
A clock? I'm not sure what you mean.
Well slab butter on me and call me late, - Snip. It's the Redstone Torches that overheat, not Pistons. -
Well slab butter on me and call me late, I just noticed pistons have an "overheat." If they're used in a clock to constantly push and pull rapidly, they stop and hiss.
Wait, what? I did not know this. :v:
Notch's explosion algorithm is quite odd.
