I always thought her job was to have a nice arse to look at.

Not really. Note how well Minecon did. Not in how much more money it made Notch, but note things such as the Yogscast fiasco, the club they held the party in throwing Minecon goers out in droves, etc.

If that was her job she wouldn't be doing it very well.
Today I had 27 diamonds. After 10 minutes of mining I now have 39
I've never been this lucky before

I found 30 diamonds on Profan's server, traded 20 for a Fortune III pick, and now I have enough diamonds to rule the world.
So after a 2 month hiatus and after telling myself I wouldn't. I'm back in minecraft, started a new world and I'm amongst the biggest heard of fucking cattle I've seen, I'm serious there's like twenty of the fuckers.
Also got myself some spiffy mods to keep things fresh, like ropes+, inficraft, Smart Moving, shields, and better dungeons. :v:
Does anyone know why MultiVerse's mv.bypass.gamemode.* doesn't work?
Now THAT'S what I call a bed!

Wow, realized I now have almost a full stack of diamonds on Profan's server. What should I do with them?

Find an out of the way valley, bury them in a chest, place a sign with "X" on it.

I'm so making some maps and doing this.
The other day I found diamonds in single player for the first time ever. I also found a bunch of redstone.
There was lava nearby; i carefully set out to make a cobblestone bridge across it. it was a lot of lava.
I was in the middle of the pool when a spider pops out of nowhere and pushes me in the lava.
I flailed around and tried to get out but ended up dying.

You hide it, but in plain sight.
In a house's Chimney for example. People dig and look for stuff around people's 'homes' and shit, but they don't check inside the roof
My Minecraft launcher freezes when it's retrieving the iwjgl.jar. It first asks me if I want to update but when I say yes, it's gets to ~3% then just stops. Anyone know a fix?
I found the best plugin ever, you can ride a dragon to get places.
Hey dudes, long time no see. I've got a problem when trying to record Minecraft.
When I record with Fraps, my mouse suddenly moves suuuuper slow and the game becomes unplayable due to that. It's as if that fancy smooth movement turns on suddenly but 100x worse.
Has anyone have this problem? If so, how do I fix it?
You wouldn't happen to have your FRAPS record button set to the same key as smooth movement?
I haven't tried smooth movement since it was fixed to not be framerate dependent, so maybe it is causing that because of your lower framerate (assuming your framerate is under 30 because of FRAPS)?

Or have fraps record the video to a seperate harddrive than the one Minecraft is on

If trees can go that high by default, Jungles just became my favorite biome.
Throw in some heavy tropical rain and we've got ourselves a Magical Vietnam.

My server isn't a pvp server, there is no griefing :v:
And the chests are locked
I honestly think Jeb should work on the depth of worlds before height. Ores should be spread further apart with a deeper world and there could be more ruins and monster dungeons the deeper you go. Terraria is a good example of this.
More space below the surface would allow for new ore types and other features. Minecraft has always suffered from a really short difficulty curve. Right off the bat you can go deep underground and find diamond, and within 30 minutes you have diamond equipment and thats it - You've acquired the strongest material in the game. The type of materials you can use to make weapons and armor should be at least doubled, or even tripled.
What does a higher height limit really add to the game? Taller buildings and 1x1 griefer towers... maybe some more biome types if we're lucky. But do we REALLY need more biomes?
If recording to upload to Youtube, record at 29.97 (Something like that) fps.
I recommend 30 with frame blending. Small filesize and the video still looks smooth.
24 afaik
[editline]7th February 2012[/editline]
more than that and they bump it down to 24
one of the reasons i like vimeo, you can upload 60fps vids there
I'll make a comparison video of 24, 30, 40, 60, and 120fps.
After 60 it's pretty hard to notice a difference, but I'm pretty sure they don't 'bump' it down.
I've seen videos with higher than 120 FPS before, YouTube don't change it, they just compress.
If it seems laggier, then it's most likely because it has to go through flash, which honestly sucks at video playback.
I have 128x128 steampunk mod and water shaders.
The dirt block when it have grass or snow on it shows with 3 gray sides instead of brown. How fix?
