I admit, the copies of ET got a chuckle out of me.
That texturepack is full of basically whatever is funny to 10-year-olds with undeveloped senses of humor.
Except the ET cartridges, that is the single redeeming quality of that pack.
Sounds real bad just by glancing at the names in the link.

That's because you're putting in a non-existent name. Using an uppercase letter loads what I assume is your skin.

If no one's answered this yet - it's the overlay used when you have Fancy graphics on, or I think you can enable it seperately in Optifine options. Either way, the customiser doesn't pack alternates of this file so it uses Minecraft's default - which is at a lower resolution than the texture pack, effectively only covering a quarter of your screen. With the file deleted, you're getting a transparent quarter overlay instead, which effectively solves the problem. Frankly, i'm surprised no one's come up with a hotfix of resizing Minecraft's default according to common texture pack resolutions. I'd do it if I weren't so bad at resizing things.

I had an idea, someone tell me if it's shit.
The game will remember what blocks are part of a tree when it generates. When you destroy part of the trunk, the rest of the tree will fall one block until there is wood on the ground (And some of the leaves will fall off)
Any idea to get rid of the fucking floating trees my friends leave around is a good idea.

Would people like some guides for doing redstone? I'm talking about "secret door" tutorials, but rather memory cells with R/W permission, a decoder and so on? I've been pondering on some stuff, and I think I've come up with a design for some pretty hefty storage capacity. I've yet to test it, but if people would be interested in such, I might get off my ass and do it.

Indeed; it'd make sense, even if it breaks pre-existing structures and the big trees with their current layout of rudimentary "branches".
If trees got actual "Branch blocks", logs of wood that were designed to be horizontal, then it'd prevent the "tree gravity" system from breaking the current branched trees, though i'll admit they'd look kinda like mangrove trees with the wood on the ground like massive roots.
