Im sure of that, it might already be fixed, but there is currently 124 blocks in the game so far, only 131 more until it hits that limit. [editline]22nd March 2012[/editline] You actually lose 4 blocks worth of mass, since 2 stairs technically make 1 block. I guess Steve is terrible at making stairs if he messes up those other 4 blocks.
Uh, no. A stair is 3/4 of a block. Two stairs makes 1.5 blocks. But you're still right in it being an uneven amount of blocks.
Uh, no. A stair is 3/4 of a block. Two stairs makes 1.5 blocks. But you're still right in it being an uneven amount of blocks.
Thats right, I was thinking if you just flipped over a stair it would fit, but I just looked and it is indeed 3/4 a block.
I love the new chat features!
I wished they would have fixed the light bug where there is lines of light. Annoying when making buildings or mining and boom, if its day time a whole section of cave or house is fully light.
If anyone here watches Nova play Minecraft, then please forgive me for what I did to one of his creepers in his new series...
If anyone here watches Nova play Minecraft, then please forgive me for what I did to one of his creepers in his new series...
Since I don't watch it, what did you do?
Do you guys like it? It's my sugercane/unique tree farm. I was going to extend the tree farm to make it have a section for unique trees, but it wasn't tall enough for either and I didn't want to change the design to make it fit so I just made a different room for it. Anyway you guys thing I could make it better?
Since I don't watch it, what did you do?
I couldn't be arsed to reskin one of the creepers for him into a really complex one, so I just made a rainbow creeper instead.
good for data sheets though who doesnt love data sheets
That can be fixed, I'm sure. Will it need to be? Not sure. 255 blocks is enough for anybody.
"640KB of RAM is enough for anybody".
Can't wait for the Mod API to come out, it sucks when a small update is released and then all your useful mods go away (Optifine, Shaders, Minimap, and Key Macros for me).
I'm not sure if this is the right thread, and if not, please point me in the general direction of one. This has been done a thousand times over already but I drew this anyway. [t]http://www.leet.cc/creeper.jpg[/t]
Any possibility of a wallpaper version? <3
I decided to try out magic launcher to see how well it fares against mcpatcher. God damn, it's so good. I couldn't get optifine to work with mcpatcher but it worked fine with magic launcher.
Any possibility of a wallpaper version? <3
i took the liberty. hope he doesn't mind :ohdear:
I think they can go to 255 blocks since 256+ is all items.
In a recent patch I believe they upped the ID limit to 4096.
1.2.4 is out New blocks: (Yes, those are different coloured planks!)
That white wood looks like white chocolate.
hope he doesn't mind :ohdear:
I don't.
Cats in standing position will now purposely go and sit on nearby chests, active furnaces, and beds, preventing players from using them.
Realism in minecraft :v:
Realism in minecraft :v:
More like "Cats will place themselves on whatever you're working on".
@ All the people debating about wood taking up all these slots in terrain.png: Think about grass and leaves. These use greyscale maps. They could do the same for stairs without even adding a single new one. (Replace the old one with a greyscale one)

It kind of looks cool but it's also really messy.
If it looks messy to you why dont you gonna give the walls a style, make kind of rooms, so you cant see it's a cave. :v @Goz3rr Tweet this to Jeb. NOW!
I want it to look like a cave, though. That's why I built it there.
That white wood looks like white chocolate.
Finally, I can't wait to make my 100:1 scale Toblerone model.

(Replace the old one with a greyscale one)
True, but then texture pack editors have no real control over the colour of the wood. Unless they plan to release a config file or something easy to do in the modapi.
I like how birch planks match sandstone, so you can transition from sandstone to wood pretty well. Jungle planks look like absolute shit though. Dark wood planks are my new favorite block.
True, but then texture pack editors have no real control over the colour of the wood. Unless they plan to release a config file or something easy to do in the modapi.
How do you think texture packs can change the color of the grass? There's a similar method, involving a gradient triangle.
How do you think texture packs can change the color of the grass? There's a similar method, involving a gradient triangle.
Oh yeah, forgot about that. That could work then. Just a small 8x8 image split into 4 sections for each wood colour.
Oh yeah, forgot about that. That could work then. Just a small 8x8 image split into 4 sections for each wood colour.
2x2 pixels would work. One for each color.
