To anyone getting the "lag in the first moments of starting a game" problem, it's your connection settings, just fumble around with it in the options menu and you'll be fine. Helped me out.

Its enjoyable to play, plays much better on the PC than it does on the Xbox.

Matchmaking needs to be ironed out a little, takes a long ass time just to get into a game. That needs to be sorted out before i play it more often...

Right, so, I've been looking around the Internet for a while, and can't really find anything on this.

The F2P version of this game plays really, really poorly on my computers.

One of the computers has the following specs:

Intel i7-3920XM CPU @ 2.9GHz
Nvidia GeForce 680M with 4GB DDR memory
16GB RAM
64-bit Windows 7

And the other computer has these specs:

Intel Q6600 CPU @ 2.4GHz
ATI Radeon 5870
4GB RAM
64-bit Windows 7

The one computer should be able to play this game with flying colors, and the other should be able to play it decently as well, but both run the game fairly shoddily.

The first computer can run pretty smoothly most of the time, but the game has bouts (usually whenever I kill another player) where it will chop like it's at 10FPS for a second or two. The other computer has the same issue, but will chop like that on a much wider range of things - for example, loading up Ace Chemical Processing for challenges, the entire map chops horribly if you stop looking at the ground.

I have kicked down the graphics on the second computer to minimum, and it doesn't chop nearly so badly, but I shouldn't have to do that.

I updated the drivers for the second computer, and the first computer downloads drivers automatically, so they are both assumedly up to date for drivers.

Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this issue, and possible solutions?

Try running the game directly from the .exe file in your steam folder instead of through steam.

Kicked the second computer back up to max graphics, and loaded up Ace Chemical Processing to see just how choppy it was. It was pretty bad.

Then I exited out, and launched "imposter.exe" from the folder in the Steam folder.

For one, the Steam Overlay was still working, don't know if that's important. More importantly, it seemed to make no change at all. It [b]may[/b] have been a [b]bit[/b] better, but it was still atrocious.

Didn't do anything with the first computer, though, since I am using that computer to do other things right now - among them, make these posts. Haha.

Holy fuck is it just me or are F2P shooters incredibly easy? About ever single free shooter I tried so far
im always in the top 3 but if I play paid shooters like CS:GO im just decent at it. I just got finish playing with a Heavy Body type with a heavy machine gun and rocket launcher, skates(to be stylin' on dem bitches) and body armor
and got 29 kills with 0 deaths. I don't even think im that good what the christ

Here is my theory.

If you have to pay for a shooter, you are probably good at them. You wouldn't buy a game like COD if you are bad at shooters.

If the shooter is free, everyone and they grandmother can play the game. Thus the good players being buried underneath the newbie players.

I have the same kind of problem, My game is always lagging though. Knowing game companies it probably has something to do with ATI cards. (Yes i know your first computer uses a Nividia)

CS is a hard fps, so naturally you will be better at most other shooters, CS isn't even a shooter.

I'm in a ATi (rip) 5770 and a first gen i7 and it runs smooth as heck for me on all max, very odd.

Also I'm quite surprised by this game, it's not particularly good, but it's not bad either. I'm enjoying myself on it.

power level - Use the co-dependent psych profile with a lot of things that give you "unselfish action points" like sensor, target goggles, motivator
