ITT: New MoH sucks/rocks, there is only Mw2 and no other CoD and we must compare both games.
Im not even going there... Im already low on money, its better to keep what I still have for usefull stuff or to buy Black Ops if I have enough to spare.
I got BC2 and MW2... in short, i've already played this game to death before it was ever released.
oh wow posting from an iphone really didn't work out well
Name one time this situation occurred in MW2
Airport level. You can take the stairs or the elevator.
[editline]14th October 2010[/editline]
Anyways, I should be getting this game soon. Played the Open beta.
BC1 was waaaaaaaaayyyyy better
Fixed
Well, I just finished the game. Have to say, it was short as hell. Felt like it was even shorted than the singleplayer of MW2, which took me by suprise, as that game was short as fuck.
Singleplayer was pretty great, story and action wise but still, really fecking short. Played through on hard before anyone moans at me saying I was just running around like a a tard on easy.
The sounds in this game were probably one of the best sound samples I've heard from a game in a while, although the driving and rail shooting parts of this game kinda sucked and felt lazy. For examples the helicopters when moving felt more like hovering cars rather than a moving helicopter.
I did notice a few glitches aswell but they're usually patched out so don't matter too much anyway.
Hard to say wether this was better than MW2 or not. Felt more viceral than MW2 but felt even shorter so..I duno. Meh glad I didn't lose £30 on it.
I was surprised at how great the singleplayer looked, especially for unreal 3 engine
Um? Unreal Engine 3 looks amazing if you do it right. Look at Bulletstorm.
Got the game from Gamefly today.
The singleplayer is fucking awesome.
The campaign was kinda short, but there is only so many stories you can make up as to why you need to kill the not Taliban...
this might be the shortest fps i have ever played that isn't a demo or didn't cost me any money
The CoD modern warfare storylines is probably one of the best that i've seen in any game recently
I know this is 16 hours late but AHAHAHA OH WOW DID YOU ACTUALLY JUST SAY THAT? This is possibly the funniest thing I've read all month. The MW2 story is filled with cliches, ridiculous-to-the-point-of-being-flatout-stupid situations (and I'm talking political situations too, not just high snowmobile jumps) and plot holes.
Are there any plans for a singleplayer demo?
No because one would be about 1/4 of the game.
I guess the game was pretty long... but that's probably because one of my squad members got stuck in a wall and glitched out a mission. I went through 15 waves of Taliban until I realized something was wrong.
I went through the whole game without one glitch.
I don't see why people are talking about these glitches, I've only played like 2 multiplayer games and so far still no glitches.
I liked the story a lot, had way more value to it than any of the Call of Duty stories.
I shed a man tear at the end
:911:
I played through it, thought the campaign was pretty fun, liked the whole asking team for ammo though. Kinda weird getting 300 shotgun shells at once. And the movement felt nice.
And the only glitch I had was in the first mission, where Voodoo would just stand at a corner and not move when he was supposed to open a door.
I only ever play online on my PC, so I'll probably go return MoH tomorrow and use the money to buy other stuff.
The multiplayer will be the sole defining factor as to whether I get this game. I care about single player, but what I'm really interested in is a fixed up, polished, and superb version of Call of Duty 4 multiplayer (something Modern Warfare 2 failed to do, which is to fix the problems of it's predecessors instead of adding more of its own problems).
So what's the verdict for the MoH multiplayer?

It's lacking. It's fun, and I haven't gotten bored of the weapons thus far, but there is only one vehicle (Bradley) and a handful of weapons:
Rifleman:
M16A4, M249 (F2000)*
AK47, PKM (F2000)*
Spec Ops:
M4A1, 870 MCS (P90)*
AKS-74U, TOZ-194 (P90)*
Sniper:
M24, M21 (G3A4)*
SV-98, SVD (G3A4)*
Then the M9 and MP-443.
* Unlockable for both sides, at a certain rank on that class.
There's upgrades/attachments for both sides, like suppressors, open-tip and slugs, scopes and such. Then a whole range of action-support offensive/defensive actions. Once you get to a certain rank (above 10 IIRC) you can unlock the enemies arsenal. So, for the Tally-ban, you can opt to use the M16, and as the US you can use the AK47, ect.

You'd be better off getting BC2 or possibly Black Ops.

ah i see your one of those people where the game has to be super realistic where your given like 10 bullets for a mission, no wonder you don't like CoD.

nah, he probably likes games with stories that arent copy-pasta from the news.
Like yunno... something original?
Wow, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm uninstalling the game right now. This is probably the first game I've uninstalled within the space of 24 hours.
I'm not sure if that's an achievement, but it's certainly a complete fucking waste of £30. Good job EA, you really dropped the ball on this one.
And I can't get a goddamn refund either because I bought it on PC.
In Short:STAY THE FUCK AWAY. Complete waste of your money (even if you can get it for £5)

gj not providing any points as why it's a complete waste of money.

I thought that you already knew the game sucked after visiting this thread?
i just tried mp my view is locked to the floor wtf

Realism=/=believable story.
In modern warfare 2, it's like a Michael bay movie, with more plot holes and pointless missions.
I remember when two hours was 12 hours... or more common and worth the money: 22 hours of SP... WHAT HAPPENED!? Where did this movie length campaigns start?
Couldn't agree more.
I'm glad to hear that DNF will be three times as long as MW2, which should be about 20 hours.
