I'm not sure what to think about this.
I liked it, it actually looks more interesting than Half-Life 2.

The sounds actually made it better, since if the HL Universe was real, it'd still sound the same.
The movie was alright, but it made me think.
Opposing Force 2 should have you as part of the Civil Protection.
At least briefly.

What I meant, was that in almost every single film they make based on HL, they use the sound from the games. I guess the first time was OK, but every single fucking time? Don't they have any imagination at all?
If you are going to use the sounds from the game, then why don't you use the same models from the game, and the same characters, and even the fucking game itself? You can make a movie with the source engine. If you want to make an IRL film, then make your own stuff, otherwise it makes you look cheap IMO
The good:
The directing was pretty good, a little actiony, but still good
The subtle special effects (smoke outside, scanner)
The environments were spot-on with HL2
The bad (aside from Half-Life discontinuity):
Special Effects overkill (30 second scene to show off pointless 3D pip-boy, lens flare & bloom up the ass)
The ending had potential, but the girl wasn't developed at all, and the explosion sound killed it.
This is a great action film.
But a terrible Fan-Film.
A. Why is the actor playing Adrian younger then the actual Adrian?
B. What was the point of the Hologram? It's pointless and probably took way too much money from the budget, and doesn't really fit.
C. Why did the combine have a MACHETE? THAT IS STUPID. NO, REALLY. WHY?
D. Who were the other 2 rebels? Why did they leave him behind?

I think it was a machete, it had a wider end then next and it didn't have a cross-guard.

Also my biggest complaint WHY DIDN'T THE ZOMBIES HAVE HEADCRABS. YOU CAN AFFORD HOLOGRAPHIC EFFECTS BUT YOU CAN AFFORD SOME PROPS. Why did they even use the zombies if they couldn't use headcrabs?

Yeah, they could've at LEAST bought the headcrab hat from the Valve Store! IT WOULD STILL BE BETTER THAN THIS SHIT! And the zombies were barely used anyway! HOW DID IT TAKE 2 YEARS TO MAKE AN 11 MINUTE LONG MOVIE WITH THIS MANY ISSUES?!

Those were Green Flu zombie cameos, since I'd imagine fighting slow-as-hell Classic Headcrab Zs in a factory or warehouse would be boring, and they didn't have the prop budget or extra willingness to make entire Fast Zedhead costumes.

That's an excuse. They know how the zombies work, and slow (traditional) zombies have been in many movies and didn't ruin them.
I want one of those Lambada arm cuffs.
I would have; instead of suicide bombing, timed the grenade and throw it to the CPs at the very last second. Of course, if you know how much does the grenade take to explode.

So after that long wait all we see is a fat kid, a girl, and some guy. They have a ninja battle and then kill themselves.
I really enjoyed it, some flaws but it was great. It's better than a lot of other shit people do and was a lot better than anyone in this thread can do. You didn't pay anything, just enjoy it.
