EA closes Pandemic (Destroy All Humans!, Mercenaries, Full Spectrum Warrior) - Games

Herm EA and Crytek are partners, and Crytek bought Free Radical... Any chance for SW:BFIII being done by Crytek?!?!? :DDD If not, it shall be missed. We're overdue for a new one :(

If Crytek DOES do SW:BFIII, the way it was meant to be done (Dark Obi-Wan, Land + Space Battles) with CryEngine 3, that'll be one of the best games ever. Hopefully they don't pass off that opportunity.

EA, I am disappoint.[/QUOTE] That was being made by Free Radical anyway, but they went bust and are now Crytek UK (and therefore don't own any Star Wars rights any more). ... which is a massive fucking shame because there was this amazing leaked footage where this guy is running around Coruscant and then he gets in a starfighter and blasts off into the sky and eventually into space, where there is a huge space battle going on. I was so looking forward to it. Just to reiterate, for those thinking that Crytek are going to make ST:BW III - they won't. They don't own the rights. They still have all the technology from building the game from the ground up though so they may make a very similar game just without the Star Wars name, objects, characters etc so they don't waste all the money that was put into the project (but where will the fun in that be huh?).

They ones not going to EA Los Angeles will go onto better things and companies not under the control of EA, so not all is bad.

Hm, I was a big fan of Destroy All Humans and Star Wars: Battlefront. Oh well, more reason to hate EA I suppose.

EA isn't as bad as usual at the moment, although I personally liked Pandemic for the work they've done.

EA or Activision? Which is best at the moment?

Battlefront 3 died way before this, the original devs went bankrupt.

I think so long as Lucas Arts gives them the rights, they can make the game. And my speculation wasn't really serious, just hopeful. Kinda like saying HL2 EP3 might come out next year
