Homeworld 2 Men of War
Age of Empires,C&C up until Red Alert 3, Stronghold and Civ4.
Command and Conquer generals is by far the best strategy game imo.
No special order: World in conflict, Age of empires 1 & 2, Rise of Nations, Empire Earth and Age of Mythology.
Civ4 too Reinstalling it and the expansions atm
AoE2 All C&Cs except that last one since 'twas an FPS SoaSE SotS WiC CoH AI War Gratuitous Space Battles Civs GalCivs DoW I + Addons (excl. SS) DoW II + CR HoI II Light of Altaïr Nexus TJI UaW:EA XCom Some that popped to mind...
1)Hearts of Iron Series/Victoria series/Europa Universalis series (All by paradox, same premise) 2) Age of Empires series and Star Wars spinoffs 3) Company of Heroes 4) Total War Series 5) Supreme Commader/Forged Alliance 6) Dawn of War 1 + expansions Something like that order, total war/CoH/Supcom might need to be shuffled around a bit. [editline]11:43AM[/editline] Oops forgot Red alert 2 and Galactic Civilizations
Dawn of War and its expansions Command and Conquer Generals and Zero Hour Best RTSs ever.
1. AoE2 2. AoE3 3. Starcraft 4. Rise of Nations
Supreme commander forged allaince, Hearts of Iron III Europa Universalis III victoria
Civ 4. OUR WORDS ARE BACKED UP WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS.
Impossible creatures is a pretty underrated, but good RTS, not a huge fan of the genre though.
1. Civilization 4 In that order.
Why does everyone seem to like AoE2? Every side you play as seems the same and the campaigns aren't really anything to write home about. I bought the collection at Walmart the other day and I've been playing it a bit but I can't see whats so special about it.

Rome: Total War and Medieval II: Total War.
What the fuck is Red alert 2 doing so low on your list? Maybe I'm viewing it with nostalgia goggles, but I played that game constantly since I was about 8. It also may have passed me my English GCSE, since I did a presentation on "the butterfly effect" which is basically what Red Alert 2's all about...
The total war series.
1. RTW 2. Company of Heroes 3. HoI3 4. NTW 5. SC2
Total war games Sins of a solar empire Gal Civs SupCom FA Age of Empires 2 + SW GB Dawn of War + WA + DC (SS and DoW 2 sucked) And Elemental War of Magic is shaping up to be a good game, still in beta though
It's more strategy than Starcraft, it has more factions and resources.
As much as I love Starcraft and think it's the best RTS every made, this is probably true.
Company of Heroes is the only RTS that I really play. Most RTS's look gross TBH.

No order: - Steel Panthers MBT: It looks dated, but when I can play any conflict from 1945 to the present with the most comprehensive selection of modern-day weapons (there are 9 different versions of the T-72!) it's a real keeper. - World in Conflict: None of that conventional RTS bullshit and it's set in my favorite scenario of Cold War gone hot. - Medieval II: Total War: This was my first Total War game and the mods for it are generally of high quality. - Close Combat series: No game since has done the real-time company-scale infantry combat simulator formula better than this. Dammit Atomic Games, stop making Six Days in Fallujah and bring us a new Close Combat! - Larry Bond's Harpoon: In the niche realm of modern naval games, this one is the best in terms of realism.
Civilisation IV isn't good for you if you don't want a session longer than 2 hours. I once spent the whole day playing just one game. (7 hours)
Earth 2150 C&C Generals Red Alert 2
1. AoE 2: Conquerors 2. AoE 2 3. Supreme Commander Forged Alliance Conquerors just gives me an excuse to put Age of Empires twice.
I don't like the lack of Starcraft here
Total Annihilation Super fun!
In no specific order: Men of War Hearts of Iron III AI War: Fleet Command Empire: Total War Napoleon: Total War Medieval 2: Total war I love RTS games, but I'm not a fan of the standard basebuilding ones.
