Every server starts you out with 16,000 its flash bang spam paradise. God I love this beta.

I tried adding "extreme phong" to the models, but it didn't work. I wanted to make a thread on the steam forums that said "OMG THEY MADE CSS LOOK JUST LIKE TF2!!!!" with over-exaggerated phong on all the playermodels and stuff.

No-one answered my question. Is it an update for CS:S, or will it be a standalone game? I really don't want to rebuy it when it comes out.

Can't wait for unlock-able hats and new weapons like a awp with 200% more damage.

this update makes me want to play cs again. ill only play with bots because the community is shit and the bots are enough of a challenge for me.

If you want the beta, but don't have it, these are the steps to get it. Steps: 1. steam://validate/260 - and wait for Steam to fully download the GCF. 2. Use GCF Scape to extract the cstrike_beta folder to the SourceMods folder (located in the SteamApps folder) 3. In the cstrike_beta folder, open GameInfo.txt Replace: [CODE]SteamAppId 260[/CODE]with [code]SteamAppId 440[/code]You must have TF2. 4. Rename steam.inf to steam_.inf 5. Restart Steam 6. Right click the new game in your Steam menu, click properties, Set Launch Options, add in advanced secuirty options: [CODE]-insecure -secure[/CODE] 7. Enjoy Steps are similar for setting up a server. Just edit the gameinfo.txt file in the dedicated server. Achievements work, but are not uploaded to the Steam Cloud - stats are also recorded, but not uploaded. You can only play on servers that are setup like this. I'm sure there will be some setup.
