Russia received the gold and they think over the alliance. While no one spoke out exactly (seriously, the entire forum seems to have as much bureaucracy as the real government), there was a negative hostile response in one of the latest posts. They just don't see as a worthy ally (and/or a puppet). I am afraid that if they would not accept, they could push North Korea on the offensive. I am pretty sure that everyone here knows that NK is pretty much a Russian colony, so they will be fully backed by them. I am rather embarrassed of those people, that only see to expand and profit through exploitation of those weaker (SK, NK, other various countries).
So yeah. We either secure the alliance, hope that they will simply forget about us for some time, or get taken over.
Ok back, this is amazing what has happened over the last week. Monkey11 can you please write down the history of what has happened over the last 2 weeks so that it can be updated in the OP post.
Am I The only one who think sits odd that Elgrind pretty much does whatever he wants without consulting anyone?
DAMIT! It won't let me join... says the server's are down :(
Just give it a few and try again.
Damnit guys your stocks are dropping :\
I'm talking about RHMG and WAHL
My stocks haven't been dropping, so I don't know what you're talking about. You wouldn't lose much money anyway, you hold four shares.
Am I The only one who think sits odd that Elgrand, my idol, pretty much does whatever he wants without consulting anyone?
If you are referring to the eRussain MPP that I secured at a cost of ZERO to the eSK Government, that I was sanctioned to try and secure by SPade back when he was CP before he got hacked. The MPP that will not only secure our borders, provide easy access to every type of RM in HIGH quality regions and give us access to a months worth of wargames for FREE I did consult with many people.
I made numerous references to it in the in game media, in comments and in posts, threads in both the old forum and the current one over a long period of time ever since going to eRussia as Ambassador.
Do you buy every line from the old clique about how I'm the personification of ebil and ignore everything I've done for both the country and for my fellow FP friends? Whose side are you on?
I play eRepublik, but it's pretty boring... you don't really do anything...
I'm a moderately paid wage-slave in an e-Japan sushi company.
Food prices went up by 200% then the already higher rates now.. and theres nothing I can do about it.
I really dont wanna accept any gifts from anyone i just want the food prices to go back to reasonable prices and not this crap. 20 for q5 and 8 for q3.
Other than that I sold all my product today, I was selling my q1 food for the usual rock bottom prices. I don't know what is going on with the higher q foods though
Someone is buying out food. And the Russian MPP doesn't seem to be successful in its creation.
No elgrind I make my own opinions for myself and I am not denying that any of your actions have been "good" or not, what I have been noticing is a thrice repeated cycle.
part one (elgrind does something on his own
part two (elgrind gets bitched out on comments
part three(elgrind defends himself by saying the same thing over and over again.
Look man if your gunna do good thats good for you, But you should make sure everyone agrees with you before not after.
Vote it up

The majority did agree that securing the borders, gaining a powerful friend as an ally, getting unlimited access to all the high RM regions and getting free wargames was a good thing then it was derailed with misinformation from Ranger (who it turns out is from the FoH forum who got kicked out of eNK by Russia, axe to grind anyone?) and then certain people went along with it for 'procedural' reasons.
You do realise that this talk of 'keeping eSK neutral' is just them blowing smoke up your ass on the way to becoming a USA client and then watch as Russia just wipes eSK from the map as USA sits back as they dont give a fig for us in reality.
PS you are so amazingly hilarious the way you keep mispelling my name it actually has me sat here in RL Laughing out Loud and your wit every time you do it...
Thats odd that its that funny to you but ok man.
I'm not talking just about the mpp thing, But you are just taking it as a personal attack so im not going to bother talking to you anymore.
Edit:
I think ill stick with elgrind since you find it so amusing.
You need to chill out a little bit.
When you created the forum (which was very much required) you took a little bit of power from some people.
As Azgorath points out, when ever you or anyone else acts without the consent and guidance of the elders - they WILL jump on you.
Some people are used to having the power that precedence and seniority gives them and they are going to hate you and anyone else that tries to disrupt their little circle.
Leading the pack of up and comers is a sure way to get yourself kicked down.

re: Food.
I was told to remove my 1K gold block of KRW at 0.014G so the rest of the KRW got bought and our food market got taken out (same as last week).
Should drop back in 3-4 days depending on the minister of finance.
Yeah you're right. I've just been getting het up at the way things have been going.
The Russian MPP I worked on for a month to secure our borders, provide protection amd give us free wargames has been voted down by a combination of anti-Russian haters, RL USA=in game pro-eUSA players and others hoodwinked with the smoke and mirrors argument of 'it was debated on the forum for long enough to beat the deadline'.
The secure forum I created after the old one was hacked and deleted is just getting me abuse from some of the old guard clique and the ORGs, newspapers and companies I bought and gave to the government to use were thrown back in my face.
At least I've been getting some love from my bros here for helping out with gifts and food.
Seems like FP in eSK will be a minority after the old guard circle round Aarons and Spade have allied with the goons. They really pulled the wool over our eyes. Got us to fight the Goons fir them to help keep them in power then they jump into bed with the Goons when they promise to keep them in power and we end up looking like chumps.
Anyway I'm just going to take a back seat now. See if anyone else wants to step up and take a few hits for the cause. If no-one else is bothered about building up FP in eSK I'll probably go join the FP community in eGermany and join the good fight there using BURNING SPIRIT to free occupied eGermany.
Elgrand I didn't notice the veteran eSKers started helping the goons more than usual, only like, helping them integrate and stuff, it's been a while since I saw someone seriously discriminating against goons or FPers, or otherwise discriminating FOR them.
Anyway you shouldn't feel bad if a bunch of people disagree with you on some subjects, if all you wish is the good of eSK, and the majority seems to vote in favor of something that's not as good as what you think, it's no cause to feel bad, just accept the will of the majority and keep on working and suggesting ideas until the majority likes your ideas.
One thing I'd like to say: next time make sure you play by "their rules" by starting votes on time and stuff, I'm not saying it's really really bad what you did but it game some legitimacy to the accusations against you. As long as you play by the rules you can be sure people will only decline your offers if they truly believe they're not so good, and not because of.... I can't think of a word for this but I'll say "pre-judgment opinion of you".

You do realize that you really have no idea what you are talking about? First of all, Ranger did not provide "misinformation", second of all NO ONE and I mean NO ONE is disagreeing with the Russia MPP because they want to get with the USA. Notice how nobody even suggested that. You just suggested as mud flinging against the people who disagreed with you.
You have been here less than two months. Don't pretend that you have a clue about what Russia is or is not. Speaking of axes to grind, you are the ambassador to Russia, so it just as likely that you are biased as ranger might be(he isn't).
This is your first term as congress so stop acting like you are some big shot.
BTW, there is no facepunch community in germany. WE are the community from germany.
Ranger started life as an eNKer so he's certainly no friend of eRussia.
The troubling point (ignoring any bias) is that when he started the vote on the forums he linked in data that had not been previously presented or discussed.
Had it been discussed then we could of presented data from the other sides of the argument but by linking it in the OP it spread to the media and any attempt to present a fair argument would of been belated and damaging to our sources.
The presentation of the vote could not of been more loaded if he had added "I expect every to vote NO or I'll do you!" at the end of the OP.
TL;DR We need an independent voice on the forum to stop democratic abuses.
forget it

I do agree that we need an independent voice on the forum. Which is why I don't think Elgrand should be admin.
Also what is this I hear about you banning Herbert Elgrand?

This isn't BS parliamentary problems. MPP with Russia is stupid. Russia doesn't give a shit about South Korea and joining them will sentence us to death in the never ending alliance struggle. Saving the country a little bit of money in the short term is not worth the long term consequences.

what do you know about MPPs and international relations
You guys missed out on very lucrative training wars at best (you don't even have to pay your share of gold for each battles), and missed out on getting your foot in the door of Phoenix (which is the most solvent and capable alliance at the moment) at the worst.
MPPs are the things that are easy to ignore/brush aside but always needed too little too late. You're right about Russia not giving a shit about South Korea, but if you have that attitude about foreign policy nobody is ever going to give a shit about South Korea. It's better to have doors open to you. But congrats at offending the Russians because of domestic issues I guess.
If it's Elgrand that you have a problem with, you shouldn't have that get in the way of a positive diplomatic exchange. This just sends the signal that the South Koreans don't have their house in order, which is pretty bad if it's for something as routine (however important) as an MPP.

He was never banned.
I addressed this in the media in game, to him via PM and in the forum already. try to keep up. :D
He either forgot his password, tried to login once when the free server was spazzing out for five minutes or is pushing some agenda to try and boycott the forum. His account is active and has always been. It can be seen in the forum members list and in the Citizens and Congress members groups.

My disagreeing with the MPP has nothing to do with Elgrand.
We don't need Russia to gain access to cost effective training wars.
Joining either super alliance is not something that we need at this moment. That would just paint us as a target to the opposing side. It is best that we seek alternatives.
Like is said short term benefit is not worth the long term consequences.
Like is said short term benefit is not worth the long term consequences.
Sadly, we are lacking long-term benefits of any kind.
Elgrand sorry about the miscommunication about Herbert, but Herbert has been having login problems for sone time now and I'm certain he wouldn't forget his password. If it is a server issue whatever but it's ironic that your main push for moving was it's more secure and reliable.
As for the Russian MPP, I can see point both for and against it but the point is you did not follow proper discussion procedures before Russia got the go ahead. Now there are a lot of people mad about how you rushed things and I can't defend something like that, especially with such a big proposal.
[editline]08:20PM[/editline]
Sadly, we are lacking long-term benefits of any kind.
Yea pretty much. The training wars are nice I have to say but looking forward it's got a log of other things to be considered. A Russian body gaurd would be nice but we ant let ourselves be ther puppet.
Especially if you've see any of the the quotes from the Russian forum. Ranger showed me a few in the IRC and they were redicously scary. As of now I don't think that is a risk we are willing to take but if you think other people are it should hve been put through a discussion so that we can decide what to vote and why. A lot of people don't understand the full possible outcomes and reprocussians of this MPP.
Agreed, Its not good foreign policy to push things too quickly.
Well, while we should not rush in for no apparent reason, I think it would be good to not look like a good target and preferably out of sight of Russia (or any other major faction for that matter). We are quite open to their forces, especially with the NK being their doll state. I say that I just randomly panic, but they indeed do have the capacity to attack.
