Well, while we should not rush in for no apparent reason, I think it would be good to not look like a good target and preferably out of sight of Russia (or any other major faction for that matter). We are quite open to their forces, especially with the NK being their doll state. I say that I just randomly panic, but they indeed do have the capacity to attack, if they see as to be of interest.

It put to bed the silly scare story that they are just waiting to attack us at any minute. Once the MPP was signed they couldn't attack us even if they wanted to (which they dont).

No the MPP can't be broken by a direct attack. If we had an MPP with someone else as well then an attack on one of those by the other would cancel them and then we could be attacked. Would piss off Russia to no end as well, without them being able to do anything.

One ultra nationalist from the ultra nationalist party says he wants to invade. Surprise that is. Even if that were true then an MPP nulifies that option. There are people in Korea talking about invading North Korea, Japan, Russia does their vocal opinion make it government policy? Would we want outsiders to read the words of them and think that was the general opinion?

Plus if you sneak onto the appropiate boards and channels then you can find just as many from the South, East and West plotting to run amok through eSK. On the positive side everyone talks about smashing through us to get somewhere rather then attacking us to simply conquer and hold us down.

Phew that was close. Managed to finally log in and work. I see a couple have started to move over to PNK party already, remember the plan is to wait until the 15th and then move there and vote. After casting your vote you can either stay and revel in the glory of the new rebranded party or go back and play a part in one of the other parties still.

I was just on the Australian IRC... They really hate SK... We where talking about relations with eRussia and then someone said that there next target is ovisally south korea... Then they all started saying "Yeah lets help Russia if SK ever gets invaded!"

So, yeah. There must be some reason other than generic "They are becoming more stable" (that can easily be seen as the level 5 food is now only 8 KPW)... or perhaps, there might be some rumors that we are going to use something much akin to goons - come in in great numbers and attack a large number of countries. Then again, it is just my guess. Do they actually state the reasons for the current relations.

I can't understand why people seem to think Russia wants to attack SK. Despite the fact they were offering us an MPP and free wargames a few days ago there is no reason for them to attack. We only border China and Japan, both of which Russia already borders so no need to attack through us. We have no resources they need so no need to attack to secure our uber valuable grain. No RL beef so no chance of a babyboom by attacking us. Apart from a few vocal trolls trying to spoil it we have good relations with Russia. If they attacked us they would push SK into the arms of the Brolliance and find themselves bordering a hostile nation so that's not going to happen. I cannot see any single reason why Russia would attack us. All I'm hearing is hysteria, propaganda and lies.

Well we do not know what resources we will get in V2. As soon as we become the least bit valuable, or the least bit of a threat to them, they will come and conquer us.

Why on earth would we want to make ourselves into a threat to our friendly superpower neighbour? Only an idiot or hater would allow that to happen.
