It's nothing like Second Life at all, really. 90% of your time spent playing eRepublik occurs outside erepublik.com. It isn't a "game" in the sense that Second Life is, it's a browser game, not 3D or anything.

BTW if anyone wants a job paying decent wages just let me know, I'd rather pay decent wages to my friends than to strangers.

What kind of wages? I have 4.46 Manufacturing skill and work at 100 wellness.

My Company seems to be off to a good start, I had to get rid of some workers with low Wellness and Skill level, but I think when I upgrade to Q2 I can start to make a serious profit!

UK was originally in the Atlantis super-alliance(pre-Eden). When Sweden invaded Germany Atlantis broke up, and most western nations were going to join FORTIS a planned alliance. UK dropped out last minute, region swapped Scotland with Hungary, and because of that basically allowed the invasion of North America(who were long time allies of UK).
Not only is it a complete shame that we lost Monkey111, along with him we lost all ~250 gold that we got from facepunch recruit gold.

I'd be willing to set up an RM company, but is 30 gold enough to get one up and running?

You should start looking for a good spot to buy a Wood mine in a high region Execro. If you just direct donate the wood to the house company then you dont need a export licence so eSK so that saves you 20 gold.
Go set one up now as just a Q1 company and then when we can afford it we can chip in and help you out with gold to upgrade it to Q2 and then Q3.
I'll buy all the wood you can make for now at a fair price and then I can start yup the Facepunch Housing compnay and start offering our construciton workers decent paying jobs.

I sent you a PM about a great wood mine up for sale in game Execro.
Bought the wood company. Fired some of the crappy workers and hired some with better wellness/skill.
Sent you the first of many pieces of wood. How much do you reckon you can afford to pay me per unit? Right now it's costing me about 0.015 Gold per unit to produce.
Edit: I've worked out if you can afford 0.02 Gold per unit I will be able to get a nice amount of product to you, it'll let me get some higher skilled workers that can afford to keep their wellness up. Bear in mind that the more you can offer me per unit the more I can pay workers, leading to more active and higher wellness workers.
Edit2: Wow if I exported to france I could get 0.05 Gold per unit (The only offer on their market is by a wood company in a no wood region in France!), but I'd rather sell to you Elgrand.
Edit3: Someone post so I don't have to keep editing. Perhaps 0.05 per unit to France is a tad expensive, it would cost them more in RM alone to produce a house than they seem to be selling for. Elgrand, just give me an offer of what you would be able to pay while still getting a profit from your housing company.
If anyone wants to make serious money, export iron to Germany. The market is begging for it and there's practically no competition.
0.02 gold for Q1 wood is double the best price on ereptools but Q1 RM companies are always unprofitable so I don't mind paying over the odds to help you out until you can upgrade.
Just send me as much as you can produce and PM the FP org to let me know how much I owe you. I can start up the housing company again now. If anyone is in construction let me know and we cam get a job opened up for you.
