I take it on a case-by-case basis. Younger players are generally just as cooperative as older ones; every demographic has asshats. I've met twentysomethings who couldn't think their way out of a paper bag on Halo 3 and Team Fortress 2, but I've also met kids no older than 12 playing Project Reality, acting as competent helicopter pilots and squad leaders. You have to treat people like individuals.

I'm a young gamer. I own a mic. You would not notice my age and if I happen to use my mic, it is to help my team (I don't have a high pitch voice, it is [b]very[/b] low.) or to ask a question. Most of the time I don't talk at all, or I use text chat.

Probably more like 16, not sure when CS:S came out.
IF they aren't annoying I'm fine with them, but that's a very small crowd. I've only met like, 5-8 cool kids ever.
Ironically this thread is in a forums which is filled with about 70% underaged kids.
Anyone under the age of 14-15 I think need to break their mics and buy a new one once puberty is complete.

Agreed, but I only fuck with the ones that are being asses to the rest of the group. Just did it today, kid put his fucking mom on the mic and my buddy called her a fat whore and said that someone should put her in a box floating down the river. Needless to say that kid won't be playing again after how badly his mom talked about our language.

Age doesn't really matter to me, I care more about how people behave.
We have a no kids on the mic rule on our server.
I find underage kids quite amusing, it usually results in the whole server saying stuff along the lines of
"Shut the fuck up you stupid kid"
Then the kid trying (and failing) to insult them back
Just mute them, and they lack the mental capacity to grief properly so its no problem really.
I don't really care, if they get annoying I'll mute them otherwise I let them enjoy the game.
i actually had a kid scream "Nigger" at me for 20 minutes on L4d until his voice gave out and he left the game.

If they aren't annoying, i'm fine with them. Yeah and especially if they don't use microphones. It's torture and most people I know disabled in game voice as it got so bad

Any underaged player should fuck off until they're old enough to play the damn game, when I was playing DoW2 some dumb ass kid started singing same with MW2 there's just kids singing all the fucking time for no fucking reason.
