This mod is bad ass. Takes a little to get used to but its a lot of fun.
This mod looks like it deserves Steamworks.
This mod looks like it deserves Steamworks.
I'm surprised it isn't on Steam, actually.
This mod is awesome, but it crashes way too much.
Alright so I can get into servers but about 30 seconds in I lose connection..
Also, the hit detection is terrible right now.
My god this is really hard, I love getting behind my crew when I'm infected so my zombie ploughs through them all :D
My Desura download got stuck on 17%...God dammit!
I need to buy my new graphics card to play this! Looks superb!
Getting past the odd hit detection and constant crashes, it's a very well-made mod. And I got a server up and running, it's full at the moment though. [editline]31st October 2011[/editline] It's called "Grim's Idiotic Server" for anybody wondering.
The mod needs optimizing badly, it eats up resources like crazy for some reason.
I always crash after map changes.
If you were having startup crashes like me put -dxlevel 80 in startup line thing
The hit detection is horrendous even with <50 ping I usually have to waste 5 9mm bullets to kill a zombie by headshot, no matter how you put it, headshots are supposed to kill! Especially when you shoot a child zombie in the face with buckshot from point blank! Oh and cabin is the piss-easiest map, just make sure you stand a bit away from the door that's otherwise broken when you have to weld it open. Fucking engine errors everywhere.
I know that it's just a beta, but they really should have just waited and ironed out a lot of these errors. The game is practically unplayable and is about as stable as a brick being held up by a single twig. Which is a shame because it actually does look like a decent time-killer, and it's had a lot of work put into it. It just feels way too rushed for the sake of a "Hurp geddit guys it's halloween and we have a zombie mod" release gimmick.
Yes, even as a tester the game does have crash bugs in places, I was usually the only one to get them though.
report your crashes guys
Well, I tried to try ( :v: ) it with my bros. It was totally unoptimized an laggy for us, we were loading more than we were playing. Good graphics, though.

I only crashed once and it has something to do with memory but otherwise only the horrible hit detection and the totally overpowered runners and children are problems
Also, what's with the inconsistent zombie health? Sometimes a zombie will go down after you hit them once, sometimes you'll shoot a zombie twice with a shot gun in the face, then have 2 other guys beat the shit out of the zombie with hammers and it still won't die. Is that just the terrible hit detection?
have to play this on low with a gtx295! anything above high the fps goes to shit.
What's the password?
Some guys on the TeamSpeak that I hang around wanted to have a non-pub game, I will open the server as soon as these guys can stop yelling in my ear. :v: [editline]31st October 2011[/editline] There we go, it's open for public again.
Server crash and then a friend went
Relax guys, all source engine games are having crash issues out the ass this week for some reason, so Valve is likely ironing that out right now. Aside from that, the majority of bugs are being dealt with as we speak- while the mod was being uploaded, people were still hard at work on this. I honestly think the NMRIH team prioritizes fixing things in the mod over eating, shitting, and sometimes one or two members will stop responding on ventrillo only to be discovered later passed out on their face because they forgot to breathe while working their ass off fixing shit in NMRIH. (And that's a successful run-on sentence, kids!) It'll only get better from here, so keep on playin people :) P.S. If you have any feedback about bugs, errors, suggestions to improve gameplay, or specifics regarding crashes that you believe will help to find a solution faster, then by all means feel free to shoot the team a message using this email: nomoreroominhelp@gmail.com
Pretty laggy. I'll just wait until it improves.
I have 400GB of bandwidth left http://wegea.com/archive/nmrih/NMRiH_Beta1_Client.zip Download will be taken down if I get hit by a massive overage, which is very unlikely. I'm trying to get the linux server files, but it's stuck at 57kb/s
This is a great mod, but really fucking hard. Also, it has to be one of the most visually impressive looking source mods I've seen in awhile.
