The reason the early versions are praised is because it was actually alyx, not some cheap 5 dollar corner whore which she became in the latest versions. Sure she didn't look as tough but she didn't have like quadruple z tits with wet.. i meant 'sweaty' white tank tops and tight short shorts or any other ridiculour outfit, like that white atrocity that makes her look like a space slut.

I never said that his reskins were great, I just said the older ones were a hell of a lot better than the crap he's spewing out now. The point I was trying to make was that the older skins (from v4 and what not) were 'closer' to the originals than the models he puts out now. If people had to choose between gurly skank face alyx and asian space cadet whore most people would choose the gurly skank face.

Honestly, while I disagree with his style on some aspects(characters mainly), the actual quality of the work is quite high and I do like most of his new/modified environments. I wish his character models were more realistic, as they are very high quality, but are too stylized for my tastes.
This man has put a lot of work into this and no matter how much some people might dislike his style, he is quite talented. I would download this if I had the bandwidth(ISP caps me) and had a 64bit OS.
It also seems some people hate on this just because they know it was made by FF.
