Honestly, the game that blew me away the most this year was Modern Warfare 2.

It's a lot of fun. Tons of work went into SP, Spec Ops and MP.
L4D2 was great too in my honest opinion but it didn't have as much shock factor as MW2. I guess it's because everyone was screaming MW2 IS GONNA SUX DIX LOLO, but it turned out to be an amazing game. L4D2 had all the positivity after the demo, and therefore dumped the shock factor.

Exclusives don't count because they're hoarding the game to themselves. 360 users get smug about 'Herp derp I got this game and you'll never get to play it unless you get a 360 durp'
Same with PS3, the only other real console out there with 360.
