"For some reason sometimes the ball goes through the wall." Yeah, the physics setup was designed with explosions in mind - not hurling big rocks at stuff, so the spheres will sometimes pass through the walls due to their velocity and the timesteps involved. I never intended to have them in, but if everyone likes them I might have to work on it a bit. "Approximately how much will the full version cost?" No idea - I have kids to feed, but they are hardly starving, so I dunno, I would expect around £3 - £5 certainly no more. "Will there be a demo, including the editor? (With reduced capabilities perhaps)" Yes for sure, I want people to know how much fun it is to destroy someone elses building. I just need to make sure it is easy enough to use. "How advanced is the editor? How many more parts other than the ones shown in the compatibility demo are there?" Its pretty complex at the minute, it needs to be easier to use. There is no limit to the number of wall entities you can have. At the minute I'm thinking of having several standard libraries (i.e. stone, brick, metal, etc) with the ability to have bespoke ones for special buildings. Perhaps have extra libraries as DLC. "Will we be able to use other ways to destroy our creations? Objects for example?" I have messed with earthquakes and tornadoes. So much fun it's untrue. I know if I create a game where you destroy buildings there will people who want to chuck all sorts at them in the name of entertainment (like aircraft for instance) - and I really, really, really do not want to go down that path for obvious reasons. "Will there be a campaign/mission mode?" Yes, certainly. Missions are already in - i.e. destroy this building with so much cash (explosives cost money - more depending on their power) or destroy this building but leave these adjacent structures safe for example. Cheers for taking an interest. Mark
Will it be possible to create small cities with road tiles and such? [editline]08:51PM[/editline] And perhaps the addition of little blocky people to place in the structures? [editline]08:52PM[/editline] AND SOUND ADDITIONS TO HEAR THE CRIES AND SCREAMS AS THEY ARE CRUSHED BY THOUSANDS OF TONS OF BRICK AND STEEL? [editline]08:53PM[/editline] And ultra realistic high definition BLOOD AND GORE!?!
Yes and no, it does take stress in mind, but it doesn't seem to be as dynamic and as realtime as this, more like it just updates now and again as you'll get some delayed reactions. Although sometimes you even get gravity defying structures: That was free standing, not a delay.
Did you wait? It would probably fall eventually. I don't think I've had a single building stand up like that. And I've blown up a lot of shit. Also, how have you got such a good screen shot?
Plus you are on Mars, that box is most likely hollow and made of lightweight future material.
Heres my video:
How'd you make your building look like that.
Plus you are on Mars, that box is most likely hollow and made of lightweight future material.
Now you're just actively making stuff up to excuse the physics glitching that is extremely prominent.
How'd you make your building look like that.
kaboom demo\Media\Walls\textilesdemo.png Edit it, have fun. 0, 0, 0 RGB (black) is transparent

Also, just a little suggestion if you don't mind, can you have a like, NPC's in the gamewhere if something hits them hard enough they die and turn into a ragdoll or something, so I can make a building, place a bunch of people in, pretend they're people that I don't like, then I can blow up the building and they'll go all boom and it will be so cool and they'll die and ill be happy and li go all ahahahahahahahahaha

It would make sense if this was to simulate a terrorist attack
Now you're just actively making stuff up to excuse the physics glitching that is extremely prominent.
You mean, the physics glitches that happen once in never.
Why would they add this? It would make sense if this was to simulate a terrorist attack
They wont add it the fans will mod it in.
"Approximately how much will the full version cost?"
They wont add it the fans will mod it in.
Thats going to be interesting to see.
This is really cool.
I am obviously playing the game the way it was meant to be played.
How did you do that?!
[IMG_thumb]http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/635/doingit.png[/IMG_thumb] I am obviously playing the game the way it was meant to be played.
I see what you did thar.

Let me guess you switched the wall textures with the wood textures the ones with square holes in it?
-snip-
Yay! I modded my version by replacing explosion sound with TF2 critical hit sound followed with Demomans 'KA-BOOM' Epicness.
We need a tf2 styled textures.
Let me guess you switched the wall textures with the wood textures the ones with square holes in it?
There wasn't anything to guess. I replace the windows with wooden windows, the doors with wooden doors, etc.
this is the best fucking game ever, good optimization too, i'm always getting 24 fps, no less ;D
Does anyone know how to differently place the dynamite?
Does anyone know how to differently place the dynamite?
You'll need to wait for a version with the editor included.
Does it work on Wine ?
