Call this bad reading, but does this program take advantage of multicore processors?
Unless the guy knows how to do it (which is EXTREMELY HARD) no.
I have a P4 from quite a while ago and it never gets above 50% usage.

I registered just to say this:
That's not a good thing. It should use more than 50 percent usage. Just cause its using "50 percent" doesn't mean its processing faster

Good for you. But it still works well. So I can care less.
Are you guys only having problems with Paypal?
Aka, will i have any problems purchasing this by using a normal credit card?

Nope, try the game first. It runs fine without any slowdowns on almost ancient computers.
So...
i was looking for ways to change/add tile materials in the new version. It was just as easy as editing an image in the techdemo. I used reshack to see if it was bound in the .exe. Didn't find shit yet, but i found something VERY interesting...

I guess relevant stuff is in the Data.PAK file though..Didn't find a way to crack it open yet.
The game should be easily moddable.
Ok- new here, but thought I'd post considering you might be interested...
I saw your need for a Twin Towers project, so I started building it. After spending a while building it up, I thought I'd give it a test, (i tested a couple of times when it was low and junk, worked fine). Now I just get memory access violation. Is anyone else able to make this building work:
http://filebox.me/view/giiggunzd
If you can, tell me whatcha did... I may have a crap join or idk.. I get some mass error generated by OGRE or ODE or something, I didn't pay attention because I wanted to see more destruction.
PS, you can open that map in the create, just not in the destroy. (well, thats my story anyway)
hugs
I just made a real nice twin tower but I can't detonate it due to memory error. I SPENT SO LONG CLICKING ON SQUARES AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I get the memory error with yours also :/
I dont have $8
The memory error happens when your map exceeds a certain tile limit. After some testing i'm afraid the only way to fix it is to use less tiles.
My brother made this one:

Poor house.
Fuck it was a tall tower too :\ Oh well... I emailed the developer, hopefully we can find out how many tiles is the max, or how we can expand the maximum allowed amount. (I sent him my map file and asked him to give it a shot). I hope he patches some cool things, I know he doesn't wanna work on it but fuck, I'm willing to spot him some cash. I've been waiting for games like this since I was 5 when I used to do it with lego + jenga combos.
Ginteru, can you upload your game file?
Wow, this game is so cool, just look at what I set up in 5 minutes!

this is why

Yeah, i think you are coming up against the upper limit on the number of joints the physics engine will create.
In the editor, you are just placing tiles, however when you come to destroy the building the game creates invisible joints between all the tiles.
To make very big buildings you need to scale down the complexity of the structure - i.e. try and simplify the inner stuff like walls and floors.
Joints are created between any two tiles next to each other, so in corners and the like there can be 6 or 8 joints between the tiles.
Big flat floors or walls however use less joints as each tile only joints to those closest to them.
I did think about putting a cap on the number of tiles you could place, but the limit seems to vary from PC to PC so I left it up to the player pretty much.
All in all a long winded way of saying, the building you've created is a little too complex for the game to model.
Sorry if this spoils your enjoyment, but as you can appreciate the maths involved is pretty harsh.
Hope this answers your question, let me know if I can help at all.
cheers,
your 'brother' didn't make that, that's the default building in the demo

(pre demo, beta. Back when it was called kaboom)
God dammit i need 8$!!!!
the only way i'll ever play the full game is when its free. What's the point on charging 8 bucks for a game such as this? You could buy garrysmod for practically the same price, and that took alot more work/time than this game did

Then don't get it. It's a great timewaster, and has excellent physics, and infinite replayability.
I think you're missing out though.

The point is to support an indie developer. It's 8 fucking dollars. You can make that in less than an hour.
Whoever rated him disagree must be some butthurt 12 year old who's parents won't let him buy the game.

He meant that his brother made only half of the building remain standing
Well there goes 30 minutes of my life playing the demo.
"For some reason sometimes the ball goes through the wall."
Yeah, the physics setup was designed with explosions in mind - not hurling big rocks at stuff, so the spheres will sometimes pass through the walls due to their velocity and the timesteps involved. I never intended to have them in, but if everyone likes them I might have to work on it a bit.
"Approximately how much will the full version cost?"
No idea - I have kids to feed, but they are hardly starving, so I dunno, I would expect around £3 - £5 certainly no more.
"Will there be a demo, including the editor? (With reduced capabilities perhaps)"
Yes for sure, I want people to know how much fun it is to destroy someone elses building. I just need to make sure it is easy enough to use.
"How advanced is the editor? How many more parts other than the ones shown in the compatibility demo are there?"
Its pretty complex at the minute, it needs to be easier to use. There is no limit to the number of wall entities you can have. At the minute I'm thinking of having several standard libraries (i.e. stone, brick, metal, etc) with the ability to have bespoke ones for special buildings. Perhaps have extra libraries as DLC.
"Will we be able to use other ways to destroy our creations? Objects for example?"
I have messed with earthquakes and tornadoes. So much fun it's untrue.
I know if I create a game where you destroy buildings there will people who want to chuck all sorts at them in the name of entertainment (like aircraft for instance) - and I really, really, really do not want to go down that path for obvious reasons.
"Will there be a campaign/mission mode?"
Yes, certainly. Missions are already in - i.e. destroy this building with so much cash (explosives cost money - more depending on their power) or destroy this building but leave these adjacent structures safe for example.
Cheers for taking an interest.

What happened? Please add the features you said you would.
The game came out a few days ago, I'm sure there will be updates.
