AP Sion is maximum troll.
900 stun damage, then like 600 dmg with auto attack because of Lich, then explosion from shield dealing a lot of damage, then stun again.

If it's the former, I'd have to disagree. Hourglass makes it so much easier to get the full duration of her ult off--especially if you're already dealing heavy damage and they focus you first.
I certainly wouldn't rush it though, I get it after Rod of Ages and Deathcap.

Soraka is out preformed by Zilean and Janna by far first off. Second off as an AP support you have much better options including but not limited to Sion, Nunu (who jungles better than WW), Nidalee (who scales nicer and is much more useful during every phase).

AP Sion is probably the most snowball champ ever. Vlad, Akali? Get out of my house.
The shield has over 9000 hp making you super awesome in laning to farm up. For ganking let the shield tic a bit before you stun + pop your shield all over their face and watch their HP bar vanish.

It's ok. Some builds can not fit the lantern in. You wouldn't build it on most champions since the damage output isn't very high for what you pay. Also the madred's is irrelevant for laning champions.

considering how many of the characters in this game can farm amazingly well, buying wards occasionally isn't going to be a huge dent in your build
i buy wards to make sure i have map awareness, so i don't die
dying is a much worse consequence then spending a few gold on wards

No I'm comparing whether your team should buy wards or you should buy wards. Usually if you're solo lane whenever you B you don't have the money (because you can't B a lot) to get items + wards + pots which are required to lane properly. If you don't get items you're at a severe disadvantage while laning and will be last hitting under a tower best case scenario (which most people are TERRIBAD at). If you don't get pots same thing, you lose your lane. If you don't get wards you have to play properly (which most people don't do). If your team gets wards and wards properly it should be an easy win.
How I see it is that the responsibility to buy ward trickles from the least item dependent character on one's team down to the most item dependent, so that the most dependent only buys 1-2 wards in a game. The carry WILL have to buy 1-2 wards, although it would be ideal that they would not have to.
But honestly, if a team really, really needs a ward at Baron and the carry is the only one, for whatever reason, capable of doing so... You're an idiot if you refuse with "No, I'm the carry" and that 75g isn't what prevents you from a significant buy. now if you have 1850g to buy a BF or some other good item, or you have the money to finish a Deathcap, screw them, but if not buy the damn ward.
