Always have at least two champions from each role that you can play effectively.
This has always been the case and ever since Grumps on elementz' blog posted about this, everyone here should know this as well.
If you don't have enough, go play darts with the champions and pick out some good ones and play them in normal to broaden your set.

Swain is amazing against the right team, but he requires a lot of tact to know how to actually play him (unlike practically every other champion). I've played him and I play with someone who uses Swain as their caster main and it's superfun to play with and alongside an ideal Swain game.
I really don't think you should spend 6300 ip or moneys on him unless you really really liked him when he was free.

Swain is awesome, but somewhat situational. He's definitely a fun character, but early game your laning phase is pretty shit until you hit lv6. Though early on you're very good against melee dps characters since you can use your stun range and your laserbird to fuck them up. But you really get your killing potential when you get your ult, which will allow you to stay alive long enough to press further into the fight and keep throwing out your combo.

Not sure if this is important or not, but every other game I play as Swain somehow I wind up carrying for our team and the game goes very slowly, like 50 minutes and well over an hour sometimes. Swain is a DoT based nuker somewhat, so most of the time you'll be getting assists. If you start landing all the kills in games it's going to go slowly.
Any good Morde builds?

I don't play morde and when I did I used swiftness + 5 sunfire capes.

Sunfire cape's passive is now unique so I can't do that.

He's got a snare, decent ulti. Overshadowed by other casters.
He's pretty tanky though

Thanks for the Swain info. I think I like him. I like casters but I usually have to take the CC role or the tank role.

Yeah my losses are a little high, spent a lot of games diving towers at level 1 while tri-queuing.
Complaints extend because:
1. They would tower dive and die, "OMFG YOU DON'T TANK"
2. They would run in alone and die, "OMFG NICE TANKING"
3. They would stand in ashe's auto attack range while we were pushing minions while they had one bar of health "OMFG NO TANK"
