A little UP but not a bad champ designwise. Scrubs play him constantly, good ones can do well (but this can be said for any champ).

Probably because usually it's someone they have never played and want to try them out. Most of the new champions so far are quite underused. There is a surge of them when the new champ is out then it usually dies out.

Slice doesn't have enough range, his Q doesn't do much damage and doesn't heal much, his ult doesn't seem all that powerful.

Renekton - Underpowered since release. Pre-nerfed due to community whining via Champion Spotlight.
Caitlyn - Underpowered since release.
Cassiopeia - Underpowered since release.
Trundle - Arguably useful. Not terrible. Pretty unique. Untouched since release.
Irelia - Arguably useful. Shows a lot of power sometimes. Not terribly unique. Untouched since release.
Lux - Arguably useful. Not unique at all. Would rather have Morgana.
LeBlanc - Underpowered since day after release. Nerfed due to bitching of community.
Swain - Arguably useful. Touched up since release. Probably my favorite "new" hero.
Sona - Very useful. Very unique. Nerfed since release but still in good shape.
Miss Fortune - Very useful. Pretty unique. Nerfed since release but still in good shape.
When I say "arguably useful" I mean "Would I consider having this hero on my team over another".
Did you just call LeBlanc underpowered...? With a couple items she can burst down better than any other champ in the game and have almost no risk.

Leblanc probably has the best mid game of all casters, even better than Ryze with ult. It's just that she's hard to play because she needs good timing and aiming. If she can get a full nuke combo off + ignite at 6, anyone <75% health = dead
Locket removal hurt Sona real bad. Reason she was so powerful before was because she was basically a miniature spawn pool for your teammates. She has less staying power now so she can't just stay behind her team spamming forever with full health. Burst healers are better.
i haven't seen one person play trundle since he was released
She's not even that bad at mid. Maybe at top solo, but she is just ridonkulous at harassing at bot.

He's a decent champ but the fact that he's a jungler forces him to be compared to other junglers
Want assured ganks? Go WW or Rammus
Want more oomph during teamfights? Go Udyr or Amumu
Want general tankyness/bail out your goddamn ass-ness? Go Shen
He doesn't bring anything new to the table, nor does he excel at any of the above

I wouldn't ever jungle Trundle. It's a pain and your health margin is so fucking low.
Trundle is awesome when all you do it piss off the enemy carry. Steal his damage, lower his resistances, fuck CC. It's just fun but it isn't always effective.

Lux is not strictly worse than morg. We've been over this. Lux carries better, morg bursts better.
Sona is not in good shape. She's largely bad but not so bad as Caitlyn.

imho trundle does the best in the jungle, but as stated above, WW + Rammus preform better in that role.
And yes, comparing any champ to shen is unfair (except rammus) since Shen fucks shit up hard core.

My first champ I bought was EZ (this was over 3 months ago) because in DoTA the first champ I didn't go negative with was the mage bitch and I learned that I was amazing a a nuker.
I went on to discover that my best champ was EARTH FUCKING SHAKER. Who was basically the greatest champ ever.
Melee caster with a stun + he could make a fucking wall (like anivias but instead of playing a sideways one it just shot out as a straight line so you basically had to build blink dagger but w/e).
He had mundo's E skill and was AMAZING.
But I digress.
My second champ was amumu and [b]I have never regretted learning how to jungle amumu + play tanks in general[/b]
