Problem with this is that the lore is gonna get fucked to make it balanced. It won't be fun if space marines are 10x better than guardsmen, but it'll fuck up the lore if they aren't.

They'll probably just make the guard basic enemies for chaos to kill or at least that's what they should do so they can keep balance without bending the lore over.
I think guards are playable aren't they?
We don't know that yet.

Also if they are doing the whole two factions thing, it really only works with 3 races (Imperium vs Chaos/Orks). I don't see them adding ANY other races if they go down that retarded track

They could do that, but they wouldn't really be able to do a faction thing like WoW or Allods does. Only two races would be able to do that and that's IG and SM's (And SoB's if they include them). I like the idea of doing to Dark Crusade/Soul Storm where it's a free-for-all kind of thing excluding Imperial Guard (i don't want to kill them)

Who knows how many factions there will be? Also, game developers already said that new races will be added over time.

You can't say that yet because we still don't know if it will be a Order vs destruction like gameplay or all vs all.
From the trailers and stuff I'd say it's Space Marines vs Orks vs Chaos, so a 1on1on1.
I assume those guardsmen will be npcs of the Imperium, because the Chaos and the Orks will need some weaker npcs to kill, as it propably won't be a complete PvP game.

You can't say "Order vs Destruction" though. It's not like the Old Age, each race has their own agenda and alliances are few and VERY far between.
SMs vs Orks vs Chaos is still a free-for-all of sorts. Also, it's 50/50 chance that IG will be playable, so we'll see on the NPC part.
As for new races, SQUATS.

Don't be a dick, the dude i was talking to could've meant that or WAR. Besides, Order and Destruction for 40k wouldn't include two major factions ala Alliance/Horde, it'd most likely be Chaos versus the Imperium of Man. So you can't do it like that.

With "Order vs Destruction" I meant a gameplay like they have in WAR.
But I agree with you DeVotchKa, I think a free-for-all is much more propable. And it's also the system I'd prefer.
However I don't think they'll include Squats as they've been taken out of the game. :o

I hope the IG is playable and that we can be from the Steel legion of Armageddon, just because they are badass.

Makes me wonder if the game will take place in the 41st or 42nd Millennium. Probably 41st because that's the typical one but you never know.

Now that's where you're wrong. Most everything takes place in the 41st. Not all mind you, some of it takes place before like the books but the majority takes place in the 41st. A prime example is the games. All the games are during the 41st, including most of Tabletop.
They better show gameplay at gamescom today.
