If only there were some chapters included that were like the Soul Drinkers.
THEY OWNED THE NECRONS!
Hell no, you can't win against Necrons, you just can't kill them, and after you fail, C'tan will eat you like a snack.
[editline]12:02AM[/editline]
and the ONLY ONE who can defeat C'tan is a stupid, out-of-his-mind Eldar buffoon and a clown.
Orks and Chaos working together?
Fuck.
Whatever happened to there being only war?

Tzeentch decided it was time for some change.
I don't see why you people are nagging about fluff like a bunch of premadonna baby men.
Just last week I saw the Ultramarines duking it out with rainbow colored Imperial Guard on the moon, yet no one saw fit to run into the two playing the game and say "EXCUSE ME SIR YOUR BATTLE IS UNFITTING WITH THE CANON I DEMAND YOU DESIST".
It's a game, and if the game is fun and balanced and makes for good waaaagh, I don't see why you all need to get your knickers in a twist. They aren't going to retcon the game books, they're just going to throw out the lore that makes the game less fun for this one instance.

Whats that? I can't hear you over the sound of my Titan guns ripping through your Monoliths.

They are Orkz. They are dumb.
They can be corrupted. And they don't give 2 shits about who is the enemy, if they can fight.
If there is no one to fight, they fight amongst themself.
They are batshit crazy, and If the only way to fight some humies, is to ally with other crazy pepole, they are in.
btw guys

What that? My little Heavy Destroyer has more powerful energy supplies for his guns that your titan's energy core, and his gun can pierce your Titan in one shot....and i have LOTS of them....and if they "die" they get phased back to the base, repaired and send back to battle in the matter of hours and i haven't even said anything about C'tan yet.

Better brush up on your grammar and spelling there.

The reason we're "Nagging about the fluff like a bunch of premadonna baby men" is because we've already been through this exact same pony-shoot before with Warhammer Online. They decided to try and play it safe by sticking to the usual MMO faction laws and split the PvP focused game into two factions, Order and Destruction. Then they were very surprised when having only two factions in a primarily conquer based PvP game fucked up the whole system if one side's population was slightly off balance. This also meant that both factions had to be near perfectly balanced for the game to play well in any sense of the word.
A lot of other factors applied to WAR's slippery slope to dead-gamedom, but one of the main contributing factors aside from rushed development was the two faction system and how it was so easily unbalanced.
One way a lot of people wanted to counter-act this was to introduce another faction, with three you can essentially negate faction stacking by stacking the two lesser factions.
So from the information we've gotten about the 40K MMO it's sounding a lot like Warhammer Online with a 40k reskin.

What "information"?
We don't know what the races are, we don't know what the factions are(if there even will be factions), we don't even know what the locations will be. All we know for sure is that the basic gameplay will be completely different from WAR, in that it's a third person shooter.
And even then, that's not what I was reading. I was reading a bunch of people saying "If they contradict my game book I'm going to commit seppuku". That's what I was responding to. Your fears are completely valid, if somewhat unfounded. And I can understand them.
OMG OMG OMG WANT
Nah but seriously it looks like a cool game
Judging from the amount of screentime the Orks got, they'll be a playable race
Space Marines and Imperial Guard vs. Chaos and Orks?
As much as I'd be ok with that, it's likely to be Space Marines and Eldar vs Chaos and Orks.
But hey maybe its Marines and Guard, which would be awesome.

The information was all hearsay from a couple pages back.
But yeah there's no way you can create an MMO with any chance of success by sticking religiously to the fluff of something like 40k.
Still, they've got to be ballsy with this game or they're going to flop like all the games before them. That means new 'guild' systems that work with what they're trying to do, and it means more than two factions or just eliminate PvP from the game. We'll get more details in August apparently.

I would prefer SM/Eldar, but they never showed any Eldar units.

Well it would sort of make sense that Chaos corrupted or tricked the orks into fighting with them. It makes no sense for the Eldar and Space Marines to buddy up for more than 5 minutes

That's absolutely ridiculous.
It's impossible to "trick" the Orks into fighting.
Though you can point them in a slightly different direction for a few hours.

Its quite simple really, tell the warboss that there is more dakka in the direction of the enemy.
The orks simply loot the "allied" leader
That's absolutely ridiculous.
It happened in Dawn of War 2 didn't it? (with Eldar instead of chaos). It's not that ridiculous, but it makes more sense than Eldar and the Imperium being allies

No my friend, you misunderstand me.
You can't trick the Orks into fighting, because they are always fighting. :eng101:
Okay, well what we know so far:
Playable Races: Space Marines, Chaos, Ork.
There are "mounts". Mounts that shoot rockets and 30 ft high.
It will take place on a unhabited planet
There will be 2 factions (Bad, and REALLY bad)
Well, I do hope that the factions are something good, never played a game with "factions". Is there like Faction vs faction? And what do you mean that they fucked up WAR:O with it?
[editline]06:54AM[/editline]
I bet that they are going to give out DLCs.
They will probably add Eldar Tau and Imperial guard, and Dark eldar but the guard seems to be present on the planet.
I don't think so that the Tryanids will be playable. Necrons maybe.
If I will play, I would pick most likely Tau. It might be really nice:
