I love you.
Hopefully Warhammer 40k online will play like WW2 online/Planetside... We can only hope.
Hell no, you can't win against Necrons, you just can't kill them, and after you fail, C'tan will eat you like a snack. [editline]12:02AM[/editline] and the ONLY ONE who can defeat C'tan is a stupid, out-of-his-mind Eldar buffoon and a clown.
You know the truth also, eh? XD The only way they could have a chance of LITERALLY destroying the necrons is by having the chaos gods put together fighting alongside the eldar. Tyranids and necrons are an even match, in a way. Automatic stalemate. The tyranids reproduce like ants or flies on steroids and evolve faster than chuck norris runs laps around the earth. The necrons just can't die. The tyranids 'eat' planets, the Necrons Void them (remove any signs of life and such) So they'd have to do some real fluff-fucking to get the tyranids and necrons to work out in this game. Correct me if i'm wrong!
One of the magazines here interviewed the guys who make it. They said that it will not come out untill atleast 2013, beta testing might start in 2011. He was not allowed to say too much things, but Space marines and orkz are confirmed for a race.
I saw Chaos Space Marines too.
I would like them have an ability to play as a variety of chapters, not just bloody ultramarines. Compared to Blood Angels or Space Wolves, ultramarines are just so dull.
Imperial Guards, Yes!
itll be kinda strange with ig as a race i mean, they can really par up with a space marine or an ork
itll be kinda strange with ig as a race i mean, they can really par up with a space marine or an ork
Hero's of the Imperium have been known to take down chaos space marines
itll be kinda strange with ig as a race i mean, they can really par up with a space marine or an ork
Of course 1 of them can't, that's why there are so many of them.
Maybe have 3 guardsmen for one person, like the gibberlings in Allods online
I'm thinking it will control something like Tabula Rasa Just better and more awesome ... BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! [editline]11:28PM[/editline]
Maybe have 3 guardsmen for one person, like the gibberlings in Allods online
Or maybe your a squad commander and can act as a summoner of sorts. Like Pets in WoW. only we have lasers.
I hope that they will add weapon modifications too, so when we attach a laser sight to IG's lasgun, we will have double firepower.
One thing Blood For The Blood God and also i wish it will be free if not i dont care im paying shitloads on it!

Have micro-transactions please, or do what the guys with LOTRO do. Today a lot of kids play these games. Just look at maple story. Little timmy around the block plays it and gets mommy and daddy to buy him stuff from the store for some money. Monthly subscription also turns away a lot of adults too. Or atleast I hope that there will be a free trial.
I don't like micro-transactions idea. I want to play once for game (excluding subscription, then I wouldn't buy it).

But If they go with the monthly pay, fine. But do not make us pay 50 dollars for the game, then paying the subscription. That is a dick move.
You couldn't buy anything that makes you more powerful, you could buy some cosmetic stuff, create a unique banner or Color Scheme.
This isn't a bad thing basically, but take BF: Heroes for instance. Most of people who didn't pay sooner or later ended with this along with raging, because you could buy those "uber" or "super" weapons which were very expensive for regulars and easily available (my English is still terrible) for those who paid to buy BattleFunds.

But they did take a dick turn when fucking up the VP, free prices and time limits. But as long as they sticked to the original idea, it was great! Hell, I still play Bf heroes time to time, I even got my video featured.
it was great!
Was. And this is why I'm worried about W40K MMO.
Oh god the footage of all the Ork boyz in the trukk. So awesome.
Most unlikly but if see Tyranids playable a large riot of happiness will sweep the world.
How many WoW subscribers?
About 11 millions.
Most unlikly but if see Tyranids playable a large riot of happiness will sweep the world.
At least they should make tyranids as some kind of boss, maybe even a space hulk raid
At least they should make tyranids as some kind of boss, maybe even a space hulk raid
Ya, Tyranids have to be in the game, even if they aren't playable.
Holy fuck that seems to be an awesome game. I don't care about little eldars, i guess i'll just play orcs or space marines. However, i guess THQ would score lots of points if they would leave the monthly fee away.
If Imperial guard is in the game you should start off as a squad's sergeant. You're constantly escorted by guardsmen of various rank, higher ranking the higher level you are. You control the leader of the squad and the other guardsmen mirror your movements and basic attacks. This makes it so you can play Imperial Guard and still have it work the same way as a single Space Marine without it treading on the lore too much. For instance, you start out with something like this. [img_thumb]http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2530058_99120105039_IGCadianShockTroops_873x627.jpg[/img_thumb] After you and your men have had some experience you become Kharskin [img_thumb]http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1251724_99110105165_IGKasrkinSqdmain_873x627.jpg[/img_thumb] Further ranking up you become a company commander and you're given a command unit. Each with their special abilities and your men come into their own much more so than before. [img_thumb]http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2620123_99120105036_IGCadianCommand5MPPK_873x627.jpg[/img_thumb] Finally you become a Lord Commissar/Commander and you can pick and choose your own squad to accompany you. [img_thumb]http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2510144_99060105261_IGLordCommissar_873x627.jpg[/img_thumb] Obviously this would be just one path you could take in IG, the others possibly being possibly a techpriest, psycher, or one of the assassins. Like I've said before, the only chance this game has of not being dead two months after release is to be pretty innovative and ballsy. It also needs to succeed really well where WAR failed, in that there's a strong sense of an impact on the world.
I hope it's all vs all. Not good vs evil
