probably a few years after
Meh, that's what I deserve for begin such an asshole.
I'm probably going to start a new game since now I know what to do and what not to do.
i hope the protaganist in stalker 2 is nimble
oh yeah
One of the labs in CoP can be found in 1935, but with no real entities but light.
Goddamn it Thorny. Dogs in Redux are OP as HELL. They move too fast to hit unless they're running in a straight line at you, and once they're close they're jinking around too much to hit with anything. Add to that the fact that they always travel in packs and can aggro from 50-100 meters away and it's just not fair. They're more of a threat than chimeras.
How well would you fare against a pack of wild dogs?
Point, Set, and Match for NecronLord15.

Pripyat or zaton?

Reality is all well and good, but I believe gameplay should come first.
I tried drawing a stalker. I failed. http://tinypic.com/r/rl9tzc/5

It's the one from Pripyat. X8 went unchanged from build 1935 to Call of Pripyat. It's lazy, yes, but they were recycling all sorts of things from the beta, like the "new" weapons, and burers and chimeras.

Looks like an LR300 impregnated a G3 but there were complications during birth.

Looks like a military operative
You shouldn't draw them so rounded. The head doesn't look right at all, it seems to look some like a ballon that is about to fly away than a noggin that can be shot through.

I think the level was something like "l13u_warlab". It was supposed to be the last level, after the player gets through the generators. It would have been monolith's main headquarters and base of operations, and where the player finally got to meet the [sp]C-Consciousness.[/sp] To bad none of that ever panned out, but the real ending for ShoC (with the pre-rendered CG) was made sometime before they cut the level. That's why the player is seen just walking into an large room with the people tubes and stuff in the middle, instead of dropping out of that teleporter at the end and into the room.
GSC pretty much reused it 1-to-1 for CoP, with a few tweaks to design and some miscellaneous stuff.
Hot off the CNC machine :D

And I supposed real dogs are capable of ripping through bulletproof armor with one bite, and can leap 15 feet from a run? Hurrr realizm
1.
I awoke with an incredible pain in my legs and chest. It felt as though I'd just sprinted a marathon. Coming to my senses, I tried to remember what had just happened, but I had no recollection of anything that had happened within the past few days. The pain made me grimace, I wanted it all to end right there. But I thought of my sister back in the big land, Katya. I was her only family, and she was my only family as well. I couldn't leave her alone. Not after what we'd been through and what I came to the Zone for.
I attempted to look around, but my vision was faded and unclear. Everything appeared to be scarlet. Lifting my hand to rub my eyes, I realized that I couldn't feel my arm. As I wiped the blood and grime from my eyes, the sky came into view. It seemed to be late afternoon, or early evening. The clouds were pink and the sky was orange. A single raven silently circled overhead. An omen of bad luck to stalkers. I shuddered at this, and sat up with a groan - my body was aching like the devil.
I was met with a horrific site. I was surrounded by mangled, charred bodies. In utter horror, I studied their mummified faces, and tried to make sense of their unspeakable, terrified expressions. Regaining my composure, I surveyed the rest of my surroundings. I was in a pit, up to my waist in a putrid mixture of blood, soggy earth, and god knows what else. The forest was visible beyond the slope of the ditch, with the faint outline of buildings behind it. I turned, and saw a gaping pipe on the opposite side of the pit. I shuddered at the sight of it. Was this the maw that disgorged these miserable corpses? Me, perhaps? I couldn't stand to look in its direction.
It finally came to me to make sure that I was in one piece. I was coated in blood and covered with wounds, but I was in one piece. I had a feeling that most of that blood didn't belong to me, anyway. Mentally, I was shaken and had no recollection of past events, but I seemed to be sane. At least, that's what I thought. I looked around for my rifle, but it was absent from sight. I wasn't about to dig through that blood-soaked grave looking for it, either. Realizing that this pit didn't seem very healthy, it occured to me that I should probably pull myself from this trench. With some difficulty, I got on my feet and managed to haul myself from that damned tomb. I examined my geiger counter, and noticed that it was broken, with the needle stuck at 100 counts per second. I pulled a hypo of radiation serum from my pack and gave myself a healthy dose of it. In the big land, they'd call it vodka.
I surveyed the hell that I'd survived from the top of the slope, and skipped a beat. Composing myself, I examined the surroundings yet again, and according to first instinct, I began limping in the direction away from that pipe. My legs grew numb. I considered it a blessing. After what seemed like an unyielding and fruitless journey through the wastes, I still hadn't stumbled across any mutants or stalkers. In the condition I was in, any close encounters would be fatal. I wasn't prepared for a troupe of bandits, or worse, a bloodsucker. Unfortunately, night was approaching, with no end to the wasteland of trees and irradiated foliage in sight. I drew my sidearm and took more caution with my steps. I was taken aback when the wind suddenly ceased. An unexpectant feeling of anxiety came over me, and I froze where I stood. Instinctively, I looked up. The tree branches twitched.in the absence of wind. Another omen. I pulled a piece of plastic from my back pocket, and tied a strip of bandage around it. I tossed it in front of me, and watched as the linen disintigrated and the plastic liquefied not ten feet from my person. I knelt, thanked the Zone, and gave the Anomaly a wide berth...
The sun continued to set, but it seemed like I kept passing the same trees, the same shadowy wreckage, the same dry riverbed. It was as though I was progressing in circles. Suddenly, it occured to me that I was in a bubble. I sank in despair. Morbid thoughts flooded my head - I wouldn't live to see Katya again, I was going to die in this miserable wasteland, whatever I'd just lived through back in that miserable ditch would have been in vain. This must have been what the Zone, by extension of the orange sky, the pink clouds, and that black crow, had been trying to tell me. All hope was lost.
I laid down on the cold, yet inviting ground. "Let the Zone take me," I thought, "I'm sorry Katya." I closed my eyes.
You are a good writer. You could probably write a book or two about the zone.

The Zone has obviously condemned LURK. :tinfoil:
I think I'm going to continue this story
I still haven't continued on my comic. Only thing I did last week was drawing concept art for my mod with my cousin.
Seriously, that shit ain't never gonna take off. I did draw a square and a few lines.
