I think it's because the game didn't skyrocket in popularity. So the developer stayed on the same trail of development. They didn't lose their heads.

Clear Sky was terrible and Call of Pripyat was one step forward one step back kind of deal. It may not have fallen subject to your latter example but it certainly didn't just blossom like a flower as a franchise.
Is GSC working on any more STALKER games? Sans the Console version, I haven't heard much.

Of course, but I still wonder, how did bandits got to the North? All paths to there are blocked off by Duty and only Loners can pass by, while Mercs have a diffrent entry point through Limansk.

There's nothing wrong with the M4 or any of it's iterations. They all serve their purpose fine and don't have any remarkable issues. You're trolling if you use 'cheap' as an insult to other weapon manufacturers when talking about H&K because they're well known for making their weapons overpriced.

M4 is highly unrealiable, if I'd never have to go to a war, it would be the last gun I'd like to have. But yeah, H&K is overpriced but good too.

No, you're thinking of the original M16. That one was more like a bolt-action rifle, since you had to unjam it after every shot.

True, but I have good memories of it from Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Also, I know for a fact that there is a certain type of polymer that can only be easily cast once, and then it has a very high melting point. Would be perfect for this weapon.

That'd be a good idea if some guy would ever bring an XM8 to the Zone, so a technician can change that polymer thingy and raise it's durability.
Also, I think that only Monolith is crazy enough to steal an OICW and produce it as the faction's standard issue.

Nah, they don't have it in the games right now, but judging from their weapon selection (G36, FN2000's, large amount of Gauss Rifles and RPGs) I think that they'd probably decide to produce that American OICW that weighted a ton by themselves. If they'd perfect it then I guess it would be worth it to replace FN2000 or G36 with it.
