I've got more ideas, which I'll have to shape out in the next days.

Yea, there's a lot of you could make up about the Zone. And we still haven't gotten a word from GSC if the [sp]Wish Granter[/sp] is still active.

I'd like to believe that Stalkers now know that the WG is a bunch of bullshit.

Remember, only one person managed to get in and out of the NPP alive and chances are that he didn't told nobody that Wish Granter is just a lie(actually, it's not since it still has it's own mind separated from C-Counciousness) and that every wish it grants is an ironic reality are preety low. Remember, the main reason why most stalkers moved to the North is to find new artifact fields and the Wish Granter. So right now we have two estimations. 1. It just got it's mind separated from [sp]C-Conc[/sp] and it still leads the Monolithian troops in the CNPP and probably in the forgotten Belorussian sector of the Zone.

You're right, actually. It was stated in CoP, if Strelok dies, that he took all of the Zones secrets with him. But I'd expect someone like Guide or Doctor to know the truth.

Doctor knows it, he supplied Strelok with it after he got his [sp]brains washed and he turned into Marked One.[/sp] Guide knows that Doctor knows it and Ghost knew that Guide knows something. Fang obviously knew about the blast doors inside Reactor 4 since he built two decoders for it. Lebedev, Suslov, Beanpolev and Cardan also know about the secret of the Zone because they [sp]worked in the X labs and Lebedev was the C-Conc project lead.[/sp]

The transmitters have a proximity obviously since you find a group worshiping one.

However they fucked up and damaged a part of the universe, creating the Zone. Wish Granter is just a distraction made to control C-Conc's protectors(read: Monolithians) that also makes the Zone grow, thus reducing the chances of outer world finding out about the project.

Because I haven't finished it and I don't know what you're talking of there.

You can find Lebedevs' picture in X8, and they are mentioned in certain documents.

Their obviously causing the zones expansion due to being connected to it.

They had to find the eight host body to control the Noosphere and destroy the Zone. Wish Granter was just a protection device, as it (probably) emits powerful amounts of radiation thus causing emissions, stopping everyone in it's way except the person that is worthy enough to become the eight host.

Also, why would the military make expeditions to the center of the Zone if its already in their control? You could make the argument that the higher-ups haven't told the military about whats going on, but that doesn't really make sense, does it? Its my belief that C-Conc probably abandoned any ties to the military and Monolith in order to pursue its own goals. It uses the Wish Granter to control Monolith to serve as a bodyguard. The team maintaining C-Conc, in all likelihood, either has loyalty to C-Conc above their loyalty to the government, or is simply afraid of C-Conc. Chances are that there's only a few scientists still with C-Conc, probably working on a way to make it self-sustaining. But that begs the question - where's the team getting supplies, especially food, to live? They probably can't get it from Monolith, because that could blow their cover. Or maybe the Monolith itself tells the believers to trust the team under false pretenses. Is the Monolith an entity separate from C-Conc, or is it simply a conduit through which C-Conc can give orders? It'd seem as though each game brings more questions than answers. C-Conc wants to expand the nosphere across the world, allowing it to control EVERYONE and achieve world peace. But this falls into the similar argument in deus ex.

The fact that there is a slight chance that Monolithians supply the maintanace team of C-Conc since you see quite a few of them inside MCC(holograph room). Well, as far as I know Lebedev was was one of the project leads, there is a picture of him in X8 and several words about him in the docs which means that he probably knew and took part in creating C-Conc, as well as Suslov and Beanpolev since they worked together. Of course, they could have been in any position since it's never really determined.
