Noah is now officialy a pedo.
Just got in the middle of a thunderstorm in "Call Of Pripyat" with no place to hide, while hunting snorks. Fucking fuck.
EDIT :

Snork is page king.
Thunderstorm? You mean an emission?
Not sure...the sky just turned really light...it was awesome.
(I'm kinda' new to STALKER, just got it today.)

If there are a lot of preety colours changing out in the sky and the screen contrast is changing, that's an emission. Get to cover that is displayed on your PDA before you get killed by radiation.
Hint: You know that an emission is comming when area traders (Beard, Hawaiian, Col. Kovalsky) start shouting things over the radio.
You silly goose, Kovalksy isn't a trader!
So? He still shouts like an idiot over the radio in a city nobody is in!
Kovalsky is cool
although he has a tendancy to DIE
That's Sokolov. Kovalsky's the commander at the laundromat.

Oh, then it was an emission. :C I shat myself when I heard those loud bangs, max volume no room light on and it's night here. Gawd.

I know, but Sokolov sucks at fighting more than anyone else.
Lucky bastard, he crashes a helicopter in a building and he's the only one that survives.
I asked a question, and it didn't get answered, so I will ask it again.
I'm looking for info on some tunnel to Pripyat, and I'm in front of the building that's supposed to have the info inside. When I go in, is there anything in there that I need to watch out for?

Right, that means that you have to find information regarding underground tunnel Pripyat-1 that runs through Jupiter Plant. The only things you need to stay aware off is the pack of dogs and a few fuzz anomalies inside the administration building. Follow the documents path(there is a pattern AFAIK) and you'll be fine. Later show that stuff to Nitro and go to Zulu and DRINK SOME VODKA LIKE REAL MAN.
There is a Striker/Protecta whatever in an overturned desk
and something else, if this is the building you are at but if you are the other one further down then nothing at-all actually, maybe a spooky dog but nothing much.
I'm talking about the administration building. And what do you mean by "spooky"?
And I was mostly talking about enemies. I remember walking into the antenna complex in Zaton the day I got the game.
I don't want to repeat the mistake again.
Just a dog that will bark and then run after you.
Spooky fuckers and no, even for the largest area in the game, it contains FUCK ALL
So what, it's scavenging around inside?
I would have at least expected a burer.

Jupiter Plant is scarry as fuck, it has that weird thing that other locations in the game don't, it's being scary for no particual reason, and trust me, you don't want to stay in a scary place for too long.
Again, enemies are in very low numbers, you'll meet a few wild dogs and some Pseudodogs near Stingray-4. If you accidentaly take a wrong turn in the Administration building I think you can trigger a bug in which the mercs attack you.
I was taking a walk in Cordon, Wolf's stories about the female bloodsuckers started to disgust me. I wandered around thinking about what would I get with the money I got from the artifact I sold to the trader. I was at the bus stop when I hear shooting and someone screaming, I took my binocs and started scouting the source of the noise. Some poor fella had tried to go rambo on the bandits at the car park, I saw him bleeding on the ground and a bandit walking towards him with his pistol ready. Then something just snapped inside me, I took my rifle and with my hands trembling, took a shot at the bandit. It was a headshot. I was thrilled. I cocked my rifle and started running at the bleeding rookie.
Poor guy was already crying for his momma, I gave him a medkit and a band aid and dragged him in a quiet corner. I heard bandits shouting for their friend I just killed. I readied my pistol and started sneaking inside the car park through the back. I was filled with adrenaline, I had my knife read for close combat. Some drops of rain started falling, "great, I thought, the rain will cover the sound of my footsteps. Then the bandits found their dead pal and raised an alarm, they started running around and took positions. I took the safety off my pistol and readied to take a shot. After that, things got hazy, I was in a killing spree, I remember running around with my pistol and taking down bandits like in a action movie. It was gory, blood, brain splatter and bodies. Then I hear a familiar voice, it was Tolik, one of my first friends in the Zone. He had heard the gunshots and came to see what was going on. He ran towards me, I yelled "BE CAREFU-"
He fell down on his knees, put his hand on his chest and let out a small voice and collapsed. The last bandit alive shot him, I was filled with rage. Took my pistol, emptied the whole mag towards the bastard. 4 or 6 bullets hit him. I took my knife and stabbed him in the chest while screaming like a madman. With my hands trembling I sat down next to Tolik's body and cried in the rain. It started raining harder, it was like the Zone was crying with me.
Let's drink to him once more, he was a great stalker.

There actually are burers in Jupiter plant, but in a diffrent location than the one you'll be in.
Also, try checking out a group of containers and constructions elevated above some toxic anomalies in the southeast section of the place. If you find that stash, it might be very worth it.

You mean the one with the SIG 552?
Oh wait, that's behind a bunch of warehouses.
So what's in this stash?

Strelok's SiG 500 and if you found the [sp]UAV[/sp] Senka with his metric fuckton of ammo and weapons.
Note: DO NOT SELL STRELOK'S SiG. You can [sp]give it to him when he arrives at the laundromat at the end of the game.[/sp]

Right, I'll look for it. And speaking of stashes, I'm having trouble getting this one in Zaton. It's at the fuelling station, and I have no idea where it's supposed to be!
:C Sad story you got there Calkkuna. Stalker is a great story generator, random events and such..
:C Sad story you got there. Stalker is a great story generator, random events and such..
Indeed, it just happened to me in Lurk.

I've heard of Strelok's SiG, and I have no intentions of selling it. Using maybe, but not selling it.
On the roof
And how the hell do I get to the roof?! I've already tried that!
Woo! My SoC came today! I didn't even expect it to be brand new and sealed for $8:19! So should i just get complete 2009 for my first playthrough?

Only if you have a good computer and want less glitches.

Specs:
AMD Athlon II X2 2.7 ghz, 6gb DDR2 RAM, nVidia GeForce 240gt
Good enough?
Well, if I'm getting about 80FPS with everything on max with my 4850, a dual intel with 2.6 ghz and 2 gigs of DDR2 RAM, I think you'll run it perfectly!
Awesome! So to patch my game though, can i just go straight to 1.0005 or do i have to go use each patch?
Well, if you're thinking of trying out AMK and the upcoming Lost Alpha I think you should stay with 1.0004. No need to install patch after patch.
