X18 was a disappointment. I ran out of ammo and I couldn't be assed running to the Barkeeper to buy some, So decided to knife through it. for shits and giggles. [sp]It was fucking empty. Just a couple of burers and snorks. And a retarded pseudogiant that you can pretty much out smart and reach the scientist's corpse for the door code.[/sp] Then just run like hell towards your next door. It wasn't even creepy. Just floating boxes and weird background sounds. Honestly from the shit you people were talking about in these megathreads I expected something better. Or at least creepier.
Well maybe some people get scared easily, like me. Anyways, I'll go into x18 sometime this weekend hopefully.
I'm inside the NPP with OL 2.2 Shit's crazy. But I'll get freeplay :buddy:
This is probably old, but I found in glitch/exploit in Lurk 1.05 Bringing Sakharov a Mama's Beads and a Battery in exchange for a flash rifle doesn't remove the beads or the battery from your inventory, meaning you receive an infinite supply of flash rifles to sell for 25,000 each, plus if you remember to unload them before you sell you also have an infinite supply of flash rifle ammo.
I'm mad at AMK. It won't let me to the Bar yet, and I can't go to Sid because of that fucking anomaly.
dude, that's nothing. I had to escort Sakharov at least twenty times because I died in only one bullet and so did he. When I finally get us through all of fucking wild territory we get to the part right before the tunnel. I turn around the corner and notice an anomaly. No problem I thought, but then I noticed. It wasn't a single anomaly, there was about twenty of them. Sakharov of course ran straight into them. MASSIVE FUCKING EXPLOSION and a totally white screen later, all that's left are a few particles and a ribcage flying through the air. That's when I uninstalled it. Awesome concept, flawed effort.
just another day in the zone
Dimuha God-damn ninja is the fucking worst nightmare of mutants [img_thumb]http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/7614/balladofdimuhaninja.jpg[/img_thumb] Story:http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=251

AMK is a great mod, but, like all mods, it sometimes bumps up against the set-in-stone scripted events the game has. For example, if Sakharov's AI was allowed to set its own path to the tunnel instead of following a set path, AMK's updated AI would allow him to avoid anomalies. Don't give up.
Bah, I had OL 2.2 saves laying around anyways
I'm inside the NPP with OL 2.2 Shit's crazy. But I'll get freeplay :buddy:
I got raped by the 300 million guys inside, plus the radiation. I ran outta like 60 medkits and 300 bandages.
I'm inside the NPP with OL 2.2 Shit's crazy. But I'll get freeplay :buddy:
You know you don't have to "beat" the NPP to get freeplay right? You just have to enter the area. You can then leave, and go and join factions and shit. I usually do this as soon as I can enter Pripyat, and then come back to go all the way through when I've got better gear.
What does everybody think about which Pripyat is better? SoC or CoP? (Never played Clear Sky, so IDK if it's there or not.)
What does everybody think about which Pripyat is better? SoC or CoP? (Never played Clear Sky, so IDK if it's there or not.)
SoC. Sure's it's not physically accurate, but it feels more oppressive and dangerous. In CoP, it can get sunny in Pripyat. This is not OK. [editline]03:59PM[/editline] Plus FUCKING MONOLITH BASE [editline]03:59PM[/editline] Oh and packs of bloodsuckers
I liked watching bloodsuckers play with the dogs in CoP's pripyat

Thought I would have had a war on my hands. /Was slightly disappointed.
Bah, you can't just leave. I went in there with about twenty medkits and about fourty bandages, right after going through the brainscorcher. I had about 400 bullets for my F2k and about 500 for my TMP. Bulat suit. I'm taking these monolith bitches with my knife, goddamn I feel awesome.

I successfully charged a mercenary with my knife with just one medkit.
Heading into X18 in LURK now. I have about 200 rounds of 5.56 for my ..(NATO rifle here I forget the name derp), 80 slug rounds for my Winchester, 200 for my silenced .. whatchamacallit pistol that resembles a fatass makarov (i tell you I'm horrible with names), 15 bandages, 20 medkits (5 military and 2 scientific) and like 30 anti-rad syringes. Outside of X18, I had 500 rounds of 5.56, 153 slugs, 250+ for my pistol, 32 bandages, 40 medkits (in all).. I fought 2 pseudogiants, 2 bloodsuckers, something like 4 pseudodogs, a squad of 5 military guys, 2 mercs, at least 20 rodents, and whatever asshole bandits were left that the mutants hadn't killed before me. Most of the time when I play mods, I just look at it and think "yeah, this is cool." and keep it for probably a month till I uninstall stalker/get a new mod. (I have this random fit of uninstalling +reinstalling a month later: Diagnosis STALKER Syndrome). But I think I'm being honest in saying LURK is the first mod where I sit back and go "Holy shit.. this is fucking awesome". I think 1.1 is gonna make me jizz in my pants. :3:
...but really though i mostly use my grenade launcher whenever i find ammo for it. otherwise i just lean around corners, bursting at the bastards. [editline]01:37AM[/editline] Damn mergebreakers!
20 minute mergebreak? lol oh god I'm the only one who says lol :derp:
I'm writing schoolwork damnit!
I wish I could play CoP, but my Graphics card is dying and my dad can't afford a new one yet. I'm going to find a way to make money, but there's no jobs open for a 15 year old around here and no one in my neighborhood will pay for someone to mow yards for them. :sigh:
Sell artefacts.
...And then all the mutants were dead
fuckass dickcumslum
Yeah, I wish there were more ways to make money as a minor. I'm trying to find ways to get some money to save up for ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. But I don't really like COP. Its very empty and once you beat the story/get alot of the achievements there isnt really anything to do. Sure I could bring up my kill count, money, etc, but its too easy seeing as everyone is neutral. I think of CoP and I imagine those classic early 1900's where everyone is cheery and all "Hey neighbor!" except filled with stalkers. That's basically what I compare CoP to. I haven't tried Redux yet though, not really in the mood to install a new mod after Reloaded. I mean it sounds great, but its annoying to me when I install a mod, get half-way through the game (I've finished all the side missions and [sp] I'm gathering my team to go to to pripyat. [/sp] and hear about a great new mod that I want to try. I'll just wait for Redux full.

It's harder to make money, harder to kill things, and you have to put more effort into simply surviving. I love it.
Well maybe some people get scared easily, like me. Anyways, I'll go into x18 sometime this weekend hopefully.
Ok just saying this, the way you say that makes it seem as if either you don't play the game much, or that you go really slow through it. Get what im saying? So how do you play it? Do you like take your time? Sorry I am just wondering.
k, going to call it a night, see you fellow stalkers tomorrow. Enjoy the Dimuha-motherfucking-Ninja art
Silly me trying to run SHoC at full DX9 Settings at 1680x1050 on a 9600GT Usually 20 FPS, sometimes 30.
