I never understood why the make those long ass names for versions like 1.6252/v.032.6 etc. Can't it just be V.1, V.2 and so on?

Because there are minor bug fixes in between.

Finally on the last mission of Call of Pripyat. Shit is intense.

Managed to sneak in and steal the military files in agroprom without being noticed once,. now to see if I can sneak all the way back out.

And after we managed to get out of that mess I realized that Sokolov died, so Strelok, Kovalsky, Medic and I were the only guys left. We made a final dash for the choppers and all out of sudden medic gets a bullet to the head from a Monolith sniper. The remaining crippled team formed up around that flag holding statue. We started killing off the attacking Monolithians, I was using the Gauss rifle. Then all out of sudden, bam! Kovalsky gets killed by a grenade! Only me and Strelok are now left. So just before we entered the chopper, that idiot decided to run from cover and he got shot! :argh: Loaded up a save at the laundromat and barely met any resistance after that!

In my 3rd playthrough I shot all the unfortunate souls that were traveling with me to the extraction point. Felt good shooting [sp]Strelok right in the back of his head[/sp]

PKM zombies? Strange, the only most armed zombie was some guy in Iron Forest using an Exoskeleton. I saw that he was carrying the AN-94 and a SPAS-12. No zombies was better armed than him. Also, I love it how in CoP military stalkers are all like "So you're the guy that turned off the Brain Scorcher and reached the NPP?" "Yea." "And you killed hundreds of our soldiers on the way?" "Yes." "Will you please join us?"

Who else here thinks Scar is Charon? [editline]04:28PM[/editline] Also just finished the final mission. The first time, the AI for my squad crapped out and I had to restart it. Then it was pretty cool having a squad that worked with me. Something that should be in the next STALKER: A squad that follows you around.

Most of them are just rookies recruited from a city without and thrown straight to the zone. I've always just tried to not kill them until I have to. They're pretty cool in my books. I've always wished to befriend them and stuff in the SoC and CS.

I was sad when you give him a gun and try to convice him to join you to rescue his commander, and he'll just shoot you in the face. He even doesn't seem like a backstabbing guy like that, its stupid that the devs didn't change his attitude to friendly at that point and give you a choise of storming the loner base.

Get this; I just escorted Kruglov throught the Wild Territory, I'm out of ammo. All I have left is my badass submachinegun-pistol, unloaded. When all of an sudden, two bloodsuckers appear. While I'm busy with reloading the pistol, the Kruglov just stands there, taking slashes. He wouldn't stop shooting and I was about to kill him when i realized what he did.

Damn, my Kruglov just stands there while the blood suckers kick his ass in one swipe.

My kurglov ran to take the emission whatevertests and killed every fucking zombie with his pistol. I didn't need to do anything.

Except a snork sneaked up behind him while he was distracted with the last two zombies in the area and took him down. Had to do the whole mission over again, and this time he wasn't an awesome badass sniper of doom. He was just regular Kruglov. :(

I have a few questions. Is Clear Sky or COP worth buying? I have SOC and i love it. Would it matter if i skipped straight to COP if i were to buy it? Would there be any story lost by skipping or does it not matter? Or are they just not worth buying if i have the original? CoP is a direct sequel to SoC, so if you skipped SoC you'd miss out.

I dont see why Clear Sky got so much hate, other than a silly faction system that kinda failed. I still enjoyed the game.. But whatever, go with the bandwagon hate of CS..
