Also, it's a nice change from other mods because it has an awesome atmosphere and there isn't like 400 different guns. And other stuff. I mean at any time I could switch to Master (playing on Veteran right now) and 35kg but I don't really give a shit..
Actually, I did find 35kg to be too low, since items are heavier as well. I set it to the vanilla 50kg, and I can still only carry the bare minimum of gear.
I find it kinda funny that he added 35kg, 80kg and like 500kg.. I mean, I would probably have fun with a low weight limit because its more intense, but I don't feel like carrying basically no supplies like ammo and medkits.. Because every time I turn the corner theres a threat. But I'm beginning to think about playing with like 50kg.. and living off what I find, like pickin up guns to use as I go.. I mean it sounds great but thinking about it I would probably have to sneak around alot which would take up alot of time and I would probably end up getting potatowned constantly [editline]09:13PM[/editline] One thing I find funny is that the STALKERs etc in-game all have a tiny ammount of supplies.. and then Strelok comes along like a badass.
I've run into one-too-many "friendly" NPCs. From bloodsuckers to Soldiers. It's strange.
Yeah I think it's a common bug. I can say in basically all mods I've played that has happened at least once. [editline]09:28PM[/editline] I need to stop posting.. you can have this page!

It's why LURK has such a developed stealth system in the first place.
I think I played this game too much, what kind of inspiration is necessary to get back into it?!
Also, note the name: "LURK" Does "LURK" mean RUN RIGHT THE FUCK UP TO THEM AND BLAST THEM? No, to "LURK" means to sneak around, hiding in the shadows. :eng101:
Generally speaking playing lurk at 35 kg limit means embarking on a trip with 39.9 kg, mostly in medkits and ammo (ammo for one weapon AND ONE WEAPON ONLY), knowing that you'll be shedding weight as you go. This actually reached a head in X16, where I ended up having to leave my FAMAS on Ghost's corpse in exchange for his Aks-74 with the Kobra scope because 5.56 was so rare and I couldn't afford the weight hike from taking both of them back with me.
Actually, I did find 35kg to be too low, since items are heavier as well. I set it to the vanilla 50kg, and I can still only carry the bare minimum of gear.
Personally I found 35kg all I needed.
Today was a sad day. I was finishing up SoC, and the weapon I had used exclusively since finding, , broke. I was devastated. I ignored the icon, deifying the game's system. As I rounded a corner, a Monolith exoskeleton stood before me. My baby lurched in my arms as I squeezed the trigger, managing four shots before she jammed, but that was enough to put the man down. Relieved, I went to reload, but I pressed 'G' instead. I watched in horror as my gun flew out of my hands, and deflected a Gauss cannon shot, sending her flying off of the edge. Just like that, my baby, gone. I ran to the edge and jumped. If the zone wants my gun, it can tear it from my cold, dead hands.
Heading into X18 in LURK now. I have about 200 rounds of 5.56 for my ..(NATO rifle here I forget the name derp), 80 slug rounds for my Winchester, 200 for my silenced .. whatchamacallit pistol that resembles a fatass makarov (i tell you I'm horrible with names), 15 bandages, 20 medkits (5 military and 2 scientific) and like 30 anti-rad syringes. Outside of X18, I had 500 rounds of 5.56, 153 slugs, 250+ for my pistol, 32 bandages, 40 medkits (in all).. I fought 2 pseudogiants, 2 bloodsuckers, something like 4 pseudodogs, a squad of 5 military guys, 2 mercs, at least 20 rodents, and whatever asshole bandits were left that the mutants hadn't killed before me. Most of the time when I play mods, I just look at it and think "yeah, this is cool." and keep it for probably a month till I uninstall stalker/get a new mod. (I have this random fit of uninstalling +reinstalling a month later: Diagnosis STALKER Syndrome). But I think I'm being honest in saying LURK is the first mod where I sit back and go "Holy shit.. this is fucking awesome". I think 1.1 is gonna make me jizz in my pants. :3:
You're not playing LURK as it is supposed to be played. Do you have the casual weight limit? [editline]08:26AM[/editline]
I need some help. I'm playing SoC and just finished the first mission. Under this bridge there are a bunch of guys but whenever I try to attack them they kill me. I only have a shotgun and pistol. How can I kill them?
You shoot them.

There's a hole in the fence to the right of the bridge you can sneak through, and an anomaly-filled tunnel on the left(I used that the first time I played, but never again).
I need redux now!
STALKER GMOD RP would be so awesome.
RP for Gmod fails so damn horribly, I would just prefer no script and real stalkers acting it out. Like host a server for a day or every time people want to get together and stalk about.
How am I "playing LURK wrong"? Just because I have more supplies? Get over it, I'm not some stupid rambo. I sneak around all of the time, plan things out and used silenced weapons, I went through the whole bandit base without being detected with only a pistol and a knife. And don't tell me how to play a mod, when I like something I like it. 'Hey man, you're not supposed to put those kind of rims on your car! They look so stupid!"
You're not playing LURK as it is supposed to be played. Do you have the casual weight limit?
Lurk's weight limit is beyond stupid low, hell raising it to like 60KG's would be realistic. And there's no specific way in playing Lurk, you play the way you want to play.
I just killed me some scammers!
Clear Sky is crashing so much :( Also is there a way to force like a pack of dogs to pick up bodies and drag them away. I have a huge battlefield I want to clear, hoping that some packs of dogs would do my work for me.

I have a fear of dogs IRL since I played redux.
I spawned dogs, just just start running straight up into the air and sleep vertical.
He played redux.
I wanna see you carrying 60 kg of equipment.
I wanna see you fighting mutants and braving anomalies in the zone.
I wanna see you carrying 60 kg of equipment.
I wish I could show you, because personally I already did on several hiking trips.
You should be eable to carry your own body weight.
Okay, we need a thread dedicated to Stalker fiction generated by this group. Like the comics. I've seen some pretty good shit. The short story from above for one. Also, why the hell isn't SGM at the beginning of the thread yet?
If anyone of you ever played Priboy Story. A funny thing happened to me once. I went to red forest to investigate one of the helicopters and I got killed by the psy-psuedogs. After It killed me, it started to drag me and guess where? The damn helicopter. Mission completed! Another fun thing in OL 2.2 I was doing assassination missions as usual and I was in Yantar for Sparrows head. After several tries to kill him without making the stalkers surrounding him not get pissed at me, I just go there and sit with the group he's with. One of them takes out his guitarr and starts playing and after he had played the guitarr, I take out my Colt 1911 and blow Sparrows brains out from point blank range. I was pretty damn sure that they would innihialate me now, but instead, everyone is all like: WTF just happened?!?!?!? If my theory is right, I allways kept shooting the wrong guy before.
Camp up on the ledges near the tracks, and snipe at them with your pistol. Or, run like a bitch through the tunnel nearby where you found the body and hope you don't die.
Or you can go around.
I wanna see you carrying 60 kg of equipment.
Been there, done that. You just can't run with that much shit. The weight limit should be 35-50 I think. Over 35 you can't run for more than a few meters, jumping drains your stamina, etc.
