man, emulating this at 20fps is a bitch
man, emulating this at 20fps is a bitch
Just like on the PS2...
man, emulating this at 20fps is a bitch
Yeah the PS2 never gets over 20fps on this game anyway.
I think we need a team that works on upping the texture resolution, add some nice natural shaders and then optimize it for emulation.
I agree. Also: Some fucking anti-aliasing. Replaying this game is killing my eyes. [editline]04:48PM[/editline] But it's still strangely beautiful. At times it even feels like there's depth-of-field. It just goes to show that art-design > graphics.
Downloading an emulator now so I can play this again, can't be bother plugging in my PS2 over the PS3.

Anyone know the best settings to use in PCSX2 for htis? I get hideous shadows and a shit framerate, yet I've seen people getting 60fps somehow.
Maybe the people with 60fps have better computers
They were simliar, I checked.
I do remember when I last emulated SotC on PCSX2, one of the settings made a drastic difference. Let me see if I still have it configured. [editline]e[/editline] Damn, forgot I gave the game to my friend to enjoy - sorry. Try looking on the PCSX2 forums, they had a lot of tips on getting the game to run better there when I was playing it last.
I remember this game, I liked watching my friend play it more than I enjoyed playing it myself though.
I figured it out, apparently the game works best with speedhack set to X3, it's a little jumpy but it's barely noticeable, and it's playable. Edit: YAY
Looks happy to see you there :buddy:
What do you play with? M+KB?
Nah using my PS3 pad.
What did you configure it with? I'd like to use my 360 pad.
How good is your computer? I want to play that shit without the fucking jaggedy lines that ruin it's sexyness.
Mine is quite modest, Phenom 2 X3 720 BE, 4 gigs of ram and a 4870. I never bothered getting rid of the jaggies though, there's some graphical glitching like the shadows, and distance textures and fog are pretty ugly looking, also hve a weird black bar during motion blur, I have a feeling I cna solve these somehow though. Zezibesh I used Xpadder to set the controller buttons to keyboard buttons, but I think it has native support for controllers, I just couldn't get mine working.
One of my favorite games ever. Has anyone posted pics of the Colossi that did not make it into the game? There's a pretty freaking looking Spider one. Not sure if all of them are legit though...
This game needs a remake, no sequel with more giants and shit like that, just a graphical update and a re-release. I'd buy it.
One of my favourite colossi.
This game is the only reason I keep my PS2 hooked up to this day.

Also anyone else think that there should've been a secret colossus in the garden on top of the temple? That thing was a huge trap, i was like "oh cool fruits" i ate one and my health lowered instead of raised.
He's my favorite fight.
I just met the first colossus. Why is everyone crying about them being innocent? I ran up to make friends and he tried to kill me. Stabbed that motherfucker in the knee.
Played it at my friends PS2 a long time ago, it was epic.
Play some more tanth, you'll see.
The most memorable game I've played. Needs a sequel.
