"Photoshop 88% off!" ...Please gabe, make it happen!
Gabe wants Photoshop to be like a free-to-play game, actually. You get the basic cut, paste, select, draw, resize, etc. for free, and you pay for brushes, content-aware fill, and other features. But I don't think Adobe will ever go for that.
Hopefully you'll be able to hide all traces of this app store bullshit. Steam is for games and needs to remain like that. Why not create a different store altogether?

Relax, it will probably be hidden on the tools section and you'll probably never even see it.
I don't know about you guys but as much as I love Steam, I'd hate to have to open it to use software, especially very resource intensive software.
I don't know about you guys but as much as I love Steam, I'd hate to have to open it to use software, especially very resource intensive software.
I keep steam open all the time along with photoshop, hammer, etc. No problems (well, hammer is prone to crashing, but that's just hammer :v: ) I'm interested as to what programs are gonna be on steam, because it seems like something of a risky/cost ineffective move for software developers
Are they making steam for kids? They released lego batman on their shop.
Simple, photoshop ain't for pasting dog faces on people. It's original purpose is for designers, photographers etc to use it daily in a commercial way, that's why it is so expensive.
Along with that, there's so many companies that splurge on licenses for their software, so they are still being compensated. People pirating aren't even in their target market. Adobe's also not failing nor are they going after people who pirate, so it's more of an apathy I'm seeing among companies like Adobe.
Are they making steam for kids? They released lego batman on their shop.
Steam was for kids from the beggining. it sells video games.
Many of the launch titles will take advantage of popular Steamworks features
Oh boy, achievements for Photoshop!
Oh boy, achievements for Photoshop!
More like a large database of community made brushes, that'd be nice.
Are they making steam for kids? They released lego batman on their shop.
Steam has had a "KIDS / CASUAL" section for quite long.
Are they making steam for kids? They released lego batman on their shop.
The terms of service say you have to be over 13 to use Steam
The terms of service say you have to be over 13 to use Steam
It's not their choice, there are laws in many countries that forbid children from agreeing to things like ToS without a parent's consent.
I can't wait to see hats for Photoshop! not. OFFTOPIC: But in all seriousness people, no matter how long it's been done to death, they suck. It's just bringing 'Capitalism' to the game, whilst previously players were all on an equal footing, like Communism.
How hard was it to think of that joke? In all honesty I'm really tired of hat jokes.
How hard was it to think of that joke? In all honesty I'm really tired of hat jokes.
Not very... :v: I'm sorry for my awful humor :downs: and for being a BoosTard even more boxes? I think I'll go cry in a corner now and lament the failings of DarkRP.
No one cares if you boostar with the exception of whiny people that you shouldn't care about in the first place.

Todays the day, I wonder what to expect.
What's next? A Steam Operating System?
Any news?
I bet it's delayed.
valve time
looking on http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/search/p/1/sort:date_updated/direction:desc 3DMark11 and DrawPlus X5 has been added to the list (sorry if I'm late), not very exciting at the moment although I'm pretty sure there's more to come when valve actually pulls out the software update.
