I don't think there's any hard counters to anyone in dota so slardar is fine to be considered a semi counter to riki similar to how veno is a semi counter to TA.

as we all know doom fucks most passives and items too

I'd consider Doom a hard counter for Tinker

Tinker depends on burst damage, so most strength heroes innately counter him a bit, and besides that doom removes abilities as well as item usage, which is more than half of tinker's arsenal late game.

One guy in the enemy team picked Broodmother, I random Slardar. Since I don't like Slardar, I was ready to repick. Then the Broodmother repicked and took Pudge. Since Slardar wasn't needed anymore, I repicked Nyx. Pudge had no mana for any hooks so he couldn't gank efficiently.

When the game ends, he is 3/6 and I'm 8/2. Apparently though he owned my ass since I was godawful in last hitting as he told me (He probably got 5-10 last hits more than I... And when the game ended, I had more last hits.)

You just gotta love how people smack talk when they're losing, don't you
