Well the International was fun live. I'm finally back home and exhausted. Was fun meeting Gabe, watching the games, and meeting the players. I hope it's in Seattle again next year so I can go again. I also managed to get all the International Couriers by going. Is treant protector a good hero? I like him, but I'm curious as to why I've barely see anyone play him.

That's just comparing tree and tide, I don't know about other heroes.

Just played against bots as BH, decided to get a Divine Rapier for absolutely no reason. Turns out they don't understand the concept of 'I can kill you in two hits' and I made lodsemone. Then I thought 'hey, what would happen if I got two?' And so it was. [editline]1[/editline] Apparently when you have two Rapiers you can one-hit a Tidehunter if you have BH's crit. That game was over quite fast. I wonder if that'd work in a real game?

Every time I pick lycan And fail to take down their ancient before the 30 min mark I feel like i'm bringing the biggets disgrace over my family even more when the enemy team has two hard carries

Tide also works with a blink better because his cast time is faster (by about 0.2s iirc) treant wins pubs however because he has a global +4 hp regen/armor (which will often win you the laning phase), a 3 second disable that goes through bkb and a healing spell, and is generally easy to lane with, being a defensive laner. also casting spells from cheap invis that no one ever gets gem for. edit: i generally agree with this but [QUOTE=Dogchow33;37530762]Attack speed however, is something of interest, like hyperstone. AC is a good item but not on visage, he needs the mana pool to keep spamming soul assumption and grave chill. Grave chill will give you the IAS you need to hammer people and you already suggested the better alternative of Shiva's. You're a tanky hero but you don't need to be in the centre of the fight. If you follow the 1-5 farm scale visage sits at 3 (aka the pivot, windrunner is an example of a hero who is often the pivot). If visage gets items he gets to spam soul assumption and grave chill more and keep his mana pool going, and generally will live to the end of teamfights, which depending on your familiar micro is a good or greater thing.

Kotl + Axe is the best one Stay away = Battlehungers and horses fly at you Get close = Sweaty man spins on you, have fun trying to farm! Not to mention infinite mana for more Battlehungers.

Alright, so treant is normally compared to tide which makes him seem worse. I might play him anyway, his invisibility/heal is nice.
