Just made the mistake of playing a game while being low priority. Met some old HoN "vets" who insisted that i don't use Venomancer to his full potential. All i had to do was support like a nice noob.

Absoulte shitcovered disaster. They never got their shit together for a gank. My DOTS never got to get off since we never got them on our premises ever. FUCK!

Veno is absolutely BOSS at taking possession of the whole map, but they just wanted me to take a backseat so they could "teach me"... FUCK OFF!

So I random'd outworld destroyer last night, and I'm thinking to myself "Oh this won't be so bad. I've played him before." and my friend and some randoms decided to tri bottom and push bottom before the 5 min mark. That actually worked decently, and top was going so-so as solo outworld.

Then my mouse broke. I felt like crying. So that was another abandon to chalk up on my profile.

When I first got invited into the beta (March) I was given 9 spare invites by Valve over the course of 3 weeks (don't ask) - 4 of them went out to friends that were LoL players and I haven't managed to get a single one to really stick to it :( there just isn't enough incentive for them coming from a game where they do well to a game where they barely know anything and are by comparison to anyone else "bad"
I'm confident they will be converted with time though :)

EDIT: my best advice though is to start them off with a local lobby, even if it just becomes you and him on a team vs. 2 bots as enemies

Yeah it's pretty hard even if they're a close irl friend. I'm not good at teaching either so it's even harder.
