Would any meepo players care to share tactics on ganking with the blink dagger/poof combo? I've been practicing meepo on hard bots and usually farm a blink dagger by around 13 minutes (along with tranquil boots) but I find landing the poofs so hard against competent enemies (maybe the bots are overly smart though)

I'll be available to play some more games from 8am-3pm central time:)

Here's a question, can you bind items in the same sense that you can bind units? If I were to hold ctrl, select and item and press any key would it map it to that key for the match?

Key-binds are set for inventory slot, be there item or not.

My item slots are bound on my keypad, which makes it a terrible nuisance to actually use items. The only thing that keeps me from moving it to 1-6 is the fact that I use those keys when playing as Meepo.

I just saw someone suggest that Bloodseeker's ulti should have an item that causes it to rupture the anus sphincter, causing poop to gush out uncontrollably. :wtc:

I use Z X C G and my 2 mouse side-buttons for my items. Works well, and as long as you don't use F it doesn't conflict with anything AFAIK.

You may end up accidentally pinging when you try to eat a tree or TP, but at least it's convenient.

Like XCV and G. I also have 2 side-keys on my mouse, so I use these 2 for 2 remaining slots. If you tinker a bit with it you will find your setup. I was using SHIFT-Q/W/E/A/S/D, but then I realised those were toggle commands as well, so just work it out in the process.

Can someone please tell me what makes Drow a bad hero? without using the phrases 'there are better carries';'no escape mech'. I'm tired of my friends bitching at me for picking anything they don't see in pro games, just because I'm tired of playing those heroes.

Nothing makes Drow a bad hero, it's just that there are better heroes. Alchemist is an example of a bad hero. In his current state he just isn't very good. Drow is fine, she can carry as good as the rest of them, but she has no mobility, no stuns, no survivability, unlike Antifun, Faceless and Morph. EDIT: Can anyone watch the Starladder Na'vi vs AL game? I can't download it for some reason. Edit2: One of their servers must have been down for a little, it works now.

But meanwhile, she has good sides too, but they're usually hindered/ignored. ~30% damage increase on herself + ranged allies Shitload agility bonus (at 16 with 3 ranks on ult it's like you had 4.7 agility per lvl) Amazing kiter = counter to [I]most[/I] melee heroes Teamfight-ripping silence (if used well, which is quite difficult) Can actually kill Anti-Mage continiously before he has his manta done Can gank well (altough not recommended, you should be farming). Sadly the facts of "there are better carries" and "she has no escape mechanism" are true, which make her average hero.

She's an OK carry with great midgame DPS but compared to, say, Morph or AM with equal farm she loses out (and she doesn't have any mechanics to let her farm faster or better than those heroes). Her silence is great though and the agility bonus means she's going to be better than those heroes in the midgame stage.

Seems like my Windrunner is cursed, to be honest I seem to do good with her every game, but I almost never win with her.

This will sound very elitistic and "lol fuck your opinions", but LoL seems like the worst of the ARTS (or MOBA? whatever) family with the biggest handicaps and unrewarding gameplay. (IMO)[/QUOTE] It's a personal preference, but what I've seen is that once you're into LoL you are negative towards other ARTS/MOBA's. Which is explainable: Most of them are kids. (this is fact, actually: It's the most played game atm for a reason.) Dota2 is closed beta still, which means most people aren't able to get in without a sweat, which results in "less kids".

Pro games are boring because out of 70-80 heroes, only about 20 fall into the pick/ban pool and nothing else is used. It's as if everyone is scared of using something else and change the game a bit. It's not that every other hero could be less useful even. There are tons of heroes that could have a GREAT use, even more than the ones used, but they still resort to the same hero pool ever. I see it as "its an easy hero? lets use it then" thing. Instead of showing some cool plays with something hard to play with, they grab stuff that even though its useful, its easy as hell to use. (most of them)

I actually pick whatever the fuck I want, because I know I'm good with them. Like Axe or Batrider, almost never seen in comp games, but fun as fuck to play and can be succesful if you know what you're doing.

Friend of mine asked me for a dota 2 key, asking if it was like LoL. I told him I didn't have any because it was sent from a friend and directed him to the survey. Probably shouldn't have done that, seeing as he told me how he got suspended from LoL for some time for abbandoning, saying 45 min games are long... And he is the very definition of a kid. You know those stereotypes of kids in games? Yeah, he has a PS3 and BO so yes, another kid He seems to have played TF2 just for items, and even tried to scam people in some trade server He also wasted his birthday presents money on fucking keys for crates And whatever you know about stereotypical kids in video games, its true. Anyway, how can someone play LoL and be negative towards other MOBA's? If it was HoN, I would SORT OF get it, and even then lots of HoN players are changing to Dota2 even after dissing the game in earlier stages of development, and now commend it and say HoN will surely die. But its LoL. Another friend of mine told me about how it was a really cool game and bla bla bla and how I'd like it months after I got a dota 2 key. I told him I wouldn't get into it because I already had Dota 2 and it was more than enough and a pretty cool game. He proceeded to tell me I was an idiot saying I should try it and that I would enjoy it. (the same guy who says I should stop being a cunt and watch naruto episodes :v:)

Easy to get into, easy to enjoy/grasp basically every character, rewards you for playing all the time (with IP and xp, sure levels are cool in dota but theres nothing to them aside from a free item) no convoluted tactics (pulling, etc) not overwhelming to some (immediately having access to everything can get confusing) Plus league is the most accessible one of them all (wc3 dota being hard to use, hon being money [until now], dota 2 requiring invite), meaning you can easily pick it up and start playing its just a very basic, simplistic game, which might seem okay on paper, but its poorly done. Plus when you play a game for a very long period of time, you tend to gain bias toward it.
