[sp] But didn't the terror attack in MW2 show that the U.S. had completely lost the support of the other NATO countries? Never mind the fact that Russia's military is in such a horrible state that them being able to invade western Europe, let alone the United States, is laughable. Seriously, Poland by itself would probably be able to hold its own against the modern Russian Army. [/sp]
[sp]USA was caught offguard and we weren't really given much time to see how it goes along. It isn't really modern though, MW2 is in the future, and who knows what could have changed.[/sp]
I am expecting a bit more graphically for MW3 compared to MW2. Hopefully. [editline]14th May 2011[/editline] Hopefully, worth the wait.
OH NICE ANOTHER MODERN WARFARE 3 GAME COOL I WILL BUY IT yeah right
OH NICE ANOTHER MODERN WARFARE 3 GAME COOL I WILL BUY IT yeah right
Cool, now I won't have to deal with you online.
I would. :saddowns:
You people really need to stop bitching just to bitch.
You people sound like mothers for God sake.
Can't we just discuss the game? I don't think "LOL MW3 WILL BE SHIT I WILL BUY IT" is good input.
Cool, now I won't have to deal with you online.
theres better online games instead of the same shit
theres better online games instead of the same shit
Well if you're not buying the game that's fine, but why tell us, and bitch about the game...
theres better online games instead of the same shit
hey man cool thanks for clicking on this thread to tell us
I don't see why so many people hate COD. Up to MW2 everyone thought COD was great, and then lots of people suddenly hated it because it didn't quite live up to their expectations. Other then a few over-powered weapons and killstreaks, and expensive DLC which you are not forced to buy, i quite like the games. The story in MW2 made little sense though, but BLOPS was better then MW2. I don't think they are as good as they used to be though.

"herp derp derp, what story that weird long scripted cutscene, and with the overpowered weapons that need to be removed"
Anyone know when will they release rest of the videos for today?
Anyone know when will they release rest of the videos for today?
There was an england one released, which I saw a few minutes ago.
There was an england one released, which I saw a few minutes ago.
There's 4 teasers...USA,UK,Germany,France... BUT, Bowling said on twitter they'll release more videos later today (don't know in which timezone he is)
Isn't this the one that's confirmed to be Pay to Play? I would think that would be a pretty good reason to not buy it. I mean, the single player looks interesting. MW2's story was retarded, but it was still fun just because it was super over-the-top. I'll probably rent it for the single player if the multiplayer turns out to be pay-to-play.

Some, like me, hate it for what it stands for, A watered down re-release of CoD4 that is tailored for the masses that throws any complex thought out the window. All in all a shameful money grab. A cash cow being milked dry. A generic brick with spraypaint and a massive spoiler. Unless it is genuinely good/genuinely polished/feels like someone's heart was poured into it I will straight out not buy it. Remember those shows and cartoons where there was a 'boss' sitting in a chair, dreams of giant stacks of profit, fat stogie alight? That's how I imagine Kotick to be
You hate it for the same bullshit reason people hate rap. "Hurr durr I hate the culture it creates"
You hate it for the same bullshit reason people hate rap. "Hurr durr I hate the culture it creates"
Not the culture that it creates, I don't give two shits about that 13 year old going "360 noscope lol", but I despise the example it gives to other publishers. Soon they would want to replicate Activision's "success". Which is why I'm a major advocate of indie developers and also the traditional developers like Valve and iD since they got their shit together when it comes to innovation.
How the campaign will work: Training mission where you shoot targets and do CQB course tacticool special forces mission large scale battles for next five missions character dies more tacticool special forces until the game ends
I'll buy a game if it's good and holds my attention for at least a month or so. I basically promised myself I wouldn't buy MW2 or Black Ops when either came out and I failed. There's too many amazing games I want to play this year for me to feel like I'm going to fall for it again. Granted, I think they're great games, they're fun and they do their job (e.g. they provide ENTERTAINMENT). Sure maybe it's not the most "realistic" in the sense of the word but who cares, they're video games. Go shoot guns and fight and combat for real and tell me the definition of realistic then. You're basing your claims of "DIS GAEM IZ UNREELISTIC" on the fact of how the experience feels by how you push buttons? What the fuck happened to just enjoying it because it's fun regardless of how"R33L" the game is? Some of you are such stupid fuckers living in your basement your only definition of real is how "R33L" a virtual recreation is of something you've never experienced because you've never left the house. I almost can't justify a purchase this time with stuff like Uncharted, Twisted Metal, Skyrim, The Darkness II, Hitman Absolution and others releasing just weeks from each other sequentially during this time of year.

Indie developers are considered "innovative" only because they make no more then 2 games in the same series.
I think the idea of having more of a total global war kind of feel instead of tacticool spec op stuff could make it a bit more initiative than the last few releases, maybe bring back the feel of call of duty 1/2
Tell me, how you can turn a running game series into something new? Indie developers are considered "innovative" only because they make no more then 2 games in the same series.
well for starters you could iron out all its faults
Tell me, how you can turn a running game series into something new? Which is why I dislike the recent CoDs. Cookie cutter stories with cookie cutter gameplay. Might as well call them the same game with a differing coat of paint. Innovation is taking leaps of faith. Putting in something that you like or thought of and not being afraid that it would ruin the experience for the player. Innovation in narrative, Innovation in Gameplay, Innovation in artstyle, delivery, atmosphere all of which the CoD series, sadly, has nothing to do with. Examples of series that got better with time: Crash Spyro Ratchet and Clank GTA Half-life (narrative wise) The Elder scrolls (the immense lore)
Carl on Dooty: Black Cops?
All we had to do was follow the goddamn snowmobile, CJ.
Personally, my big biff with Modern Warfare 3 is that, leak and all, we have no promises or statements of anything new. I know the gameplay is generally going to be the same (Call of Duty is, well, Call of Duty now), but will there be a reliance on killstreaks? Will there be some new features that weren't in the previous games that are worth mentioning? Will it throw out everything Black Ops did (like how MW2's engine was derived directly from COD4, whereas WaW was improved from COD4's - could've been used but wasn't)? Or is all of MW3 basically going to be more of the same?
